Shield conversion

I want to take a terminator storm shield, the sergeants one, and carve off the existing detail, and curve a new dark angels icon over it, is there any way to bend plastic without snapping it?

Depends on how thick the plastic is, if it\'s thin enough you can just glue it in place and it\'ll hold the curve. Hot water or a hair dryer should help bend a bit I guess, either should do the job.

At any rate, superglue and accelerator might come in handy for getting the shield in place before it has time to bend back.

I wouldn\'t trust plastic cement for his job on its own... I have super thin stuff where you can just tack down the shield with a few dabs of superglue/accelerator and then brush on the plastic cement after. It sucks itself into all the cracks and can solidify a conversion like this nicely.

Either that as suggested, or...
Get some green stuff, milliput or whatever, and make a press mould of the DA icon you want to use.

Then make a cast from whatever you like, and you can simply put in place on the shield and bend it as needed.
