shining gold?????

I was trying to locate "shining gold" its citadel acrylic cant find it anywhere was wondering if it had been renamed anyone any ideas?

well either auric or gehenna gold from GW (I always assumed, that auric armor is closer to polished gold, but looking at the pics on the GW site I'm not sure anymore).

(good) alternatives:
- vgc - glorious gold
- vallejo liquid range - gold

theoritecally the glorious gold should be the same, but it's not quite the same.

If crystella doesn't have one I'm sure I do, never liked the color. Covers poorly and always seems gummy. That being said I don't think I've ever found a gold I really liked working with so it's probably just me : P

you too shakes cheers :) for the offer :) I personally feel the gold's to be too garish when applied directly that's why I've gone with a really toned down darkened version for Dave

For future reference GW's conversion chart shows that 'Gehenna's Gold is the closest match for 'Shining gold'. If you want a copy of the conversion chart ( a pdf) then PM me with your details. The chart has 72 colour matches on it.

But don't forget that 'closest match' =/= 'close match'.

I don't seem to have CdA Bright Gold, but that should be analogous. I found their Brazen Brass quite gummy but I don't know if that's true of all their metals.

I think I'd just go with VGA Chrome and drag it where you need it. No point making it easy!

I somehow have at least 4 Shining Gold in my 'to dispose of' pile so if you change your mind and wanna re-work it lemme know. I'm sure I'll miss the absence of one the least!

While the diffrence is slim, there IS one...but, 'Polished Gold' from Valejo is the next nearest thing, as far as I can tell.

Cheers Danny, having just received a pot of shinning gold (paint that is) from Crystella my panic's over thanks to all for the help and especially crystella big thanks :)
