the link is the thing that when you click it would take you there.

To do that, you need to have the address, and then click on the icon that looks like the world above where you enter your post.

What he used was specific commandos in the text. One to turn the effect on and one to turn it off. They are written like this: [effect] The text [/effect]

So if you want bold letter you use the commando \"b\" inside the brackets. or if you want a link you use \"URL\".

On the FAQ of these forums there is a write-up on the different \"BB codes\" you can use in these forums

Here they are

I did that above link by using a commando, which if you remove the two *, is:
[URL *=http://www.coolminiornot.com/forums/faq.php?page=misc#1]Here they are[/URL * ]

a simpler version to do a link would be
http://www.coolminiornot.com/forums/faq.php?page=misc#1

Which I did (removing the two *) by using
[URL*] http://www.coolminiornot.com/forums/faq.php?page=misc#1[*/URL]

Ok. The step by step guide.

when you look at the post reply screen, there are a number of things. Your username, an optional subject bar, and a list of icons.

Below that there is a thing that says formatting mode with three options (normal, advance, help) I use normal. To the left of that are three drop down menus. These control the font, the size, and the colour.

Underneath those, above the textbox that you write in are a whole list of little boxes with things in them.

You need to click the box that looks like this.

That should then ask you for text and the url. The url is the address of the page to which you want to link.

So, to link to the main page on CMON, the address is http://www.coolminiornot.com

Give it a go.
