It\'s all horrible. I have friends just down the road from there.
Sadly these things tend to come in clumps, or what sociologists call \'nodes\' - people get the idea from the news etc. and copy, while at the same time, the more there are together, the more they get reported.

guys, litle update
the gunman is dead. After the shooting, he kidnapped a car and took the driver hostage. He was finally stopped at a car dealership in a neighbouring town, where a policeman shot him in self defense.
Before he was stopped, he murdered three innocent people who had the misfortune to walk over the street at the wrong time. That means, sadly we are now talking about 15 dead people including nine students and three teacher.
So far there seems to be absolutely no motive, otehr than hate.
It is likely at this point that the parents will have to answer to the police. The gun he used was very likely taken from his fathers collection, which as it seems at the moment, wasn´t locked away properly (major fewllony in germany, since our gun laws are extremely strict).
Right now the german internet forums are a mess. It is sick: Instead of expressing their condolences like you guys did, theres a big debate about how politicians will exploit this drama in the upcoming eelction:|~
