i am thinking of doing a underrated mini column once a fortnight, to ensure the mini\'s get the justice they deserve! what do you think?:flip:

don\'t do it.
Because it has to be so subjective, you will basically be saying \"these I like, others I don\'t like\" and someone will feel put down.

I agree with Vince.

There isn\'t really anything like \"an underrated mini\", all minis have ratings based on how good a lot of people think they are. That\'s how the system works. Just because you think a particular mini \"deserves\" more, doesn\'t mean it does.

Something that might work is to mention those minis that are great ideas but not well enough executed to end up in the top 20 last 7 days.

NO

Simply put the whole mini scoring issue is so subjective that it would degenerate in to a Oh Yes it is, Oh No It Isn\'t argument.

There are too many similar things going round anyway and I ignore all of them. Of course, there\'s nothing to stop you per se...

what might be more useful is pointing out whe people who have posted have aked for some help and advice but haven\'t got any.....constructive comments are what I feel this sight is about not ...wow thats amazing or man that\'s shit.
Dragonsreach occasionally points some models like that out.The more help new people get the bigger and better the community will get.

your better off pointing newbies in the direction of the forums (especialy wip) and pointing out the articles section to them.

that will help them far more in the long run, as well as making them feel they are wanted instead of just another person posting pics and wondering why they may not be improving.

Isnt there already a thread like this? Open your eyes or something, where people can post things they think may have slipped under the belt.

Plus with your reasoning Rosac it wouldn\'t be a fair review. One comment i read of yours was \'stop being arrogant\' and you gave some perfectly good TT standard sculpting a 3!

You mean posting a column in the news section? Go ahead and do it, there is nothing stopping you, really. I\'t not like it would be the first one out there.

I agree with the masses here...probably a bad idea.

What might work---
Formalize the picking of an artist that is \"up and coming\"---someone that demonstrates potential---and just attract attention to their stuff--without taking a stance of it being \"underrated\". Just pick anyone outside the top 100/200 or the top 5%-10% or something (you pick the cut-off, of course).

I remember seeing some stuff like this way back when, but don\'t see it much anymore.

Woopee do. Let\'s celebrate yet more average stuff.

And then there\'s the lyrical waxing. It\'s like reading a GCSE art critique....

Do yourself a favour and don\'t bother :D

Lots of backhanded insults and comments floating around here, eh?

Anyways, there is already a thread in the \"Discuss Submissions\" sub-forum. Unfortunately I forget the name. :drunk:

Can I start a \'Look At This Shite\' thread - an amusing weekly trawl through the bowels and into the colon of the worst CMON has to offer?

:bouncy:

That would have to feature in a \'special\'. It\'s the forefather of poorly painted minis and would have to be given its due place in the pantheon of CMON history!

lol

I forget to mention earlier, that if you plan on comitting yourself to a column, you would want to work on your basic grammar.

\"should i start a underrated mini column?\" Isn\'t actually the kind of thing that brings confidence of your writing skills.

@HakoMike - That\'s the one!

@Spacemunkie - *sarcastic laugh*

EDIT: I can be so harsh sometimes, sorry Rosac (I still stand by it though, I just didn\'t write it as politely as possible ).
