what I can say is what helps me doing freehand is plotting g points or dots.so the outline is done in dots,I'm drawing dots to form the shape ,after that it's you guessed it connect the dots.

Yes, come to the dark side. Mwhahahaha! Don't be too worried about the scale. A lot of gaming figure monsters, ogres, etc are essentially the same size as 54mm figures and 75mm is just a little bit larger than that. Just expect to spend about 3 times longer on a single 75mm figure than you do on a 28mm. Use that extra time to work in more detail to areas that need it and develop smoother blends over the big surfaces. You might even find you like working on the big ones more... you never know.

I think I hate Bailey and BAM! Lol ;) ...in addition to the Figopedia book i got a 54 mm Figone "the Prowler" and 75 mm Scale 75 "Guardian of Heaven". I want to try my hand at Bailey's beautiful whites on this one (may have to take a road trip next year for a personal tutorial :))

btw BAM the weathered paint on the shield is really comming together.

Ok today proper pics from all angles to show progress made this far !!! Krule your gonna get hooked so keep in mind larger more surface sea means much practice in layering and or blending. The gradients you need to achieve will help when applied to 28mm plus large scales are just some I'd the best sculpts out there. If I had a favorite it would be pegaso and planet nuts. But a close runner ups would be Andrea , nocturnal and papah minis(undead bust) so good job in getting involved in some of the mainstream models out There in regards to 54mm and above. YOUR GONNA LOVE EM!!!
stayeth tunedeth foreth the progresseth!!! LOLeth!!!

Dam BAM! You surprise me every visit blessed by the painting gods! great pattern too.
shield is looking VERRY good. Did you use the coloured dust wip and use different levels of shine too?
The knob in the middle looks high gloss, matt wood and satin edge edge?
