I'll take one super saiyan dwarf to go please!

You definitely pass on the knowledge mate. I have your page on weathering things down with shades bookmarked.

In that case what you'll need
1) basecoat chainmail
2) wash in nuln oil or black paint diluted. Not one wash but about 4 I do this 4 on all my washes getting less and less diluted as you approach the recesses and deepest shades.
3) wash in the cracks Bestial bbrowns ash in then with vermin brown and put random dabs of this wash in puddles at various random parts of the model.
5) chainmail and mithril highlight
6 ) add mithril in a Lil more at a 1:1 2:1 3:1 ratio
8) using just mithril outline any edge highlighting and outlining of the shapes as well.
8) using a extremely diluted agrax earthshade glaze (but as a wash) the entirety of the armored area. When fine add scratches in mithril silver plus a bit of white .. Diff directions and diff lengths.
9) redeveloped HL all edgings and shapes and viola!!!

Looking awesome, I've been trying to decode your greenskin methods looks like red or red-brown shading on some in the gallery, the troll here looks to have maybe a pinkish fleshtone on the belly? Maybe a dark black/blue mix shading like on the underarm of the goblin holding hand but that could be an actual shadow. Last orc I did used funky colours but I don't want a whole team that colour :D

Thanks mate, don't have much experience with them but I want variations through the team rather than a unified skin colour across the board

This is the recipe for the flounder !!! I mean the troll!!!
Greens- starting from begining to last applications of highlights
BC - olive green
Straken green
Camo green
Camo green / terminatus stone
Term stone I. It's own sparingly
Rem the shading I've done first :
Shading used (this time I used a technique called juicing - basically it's using glazes in many I mean MANY layers to intensify the shading. It takes a while but you can judge exactly how intense you want your shading in certain places.
So I used first incubi darkness mixed with olive green 50/50 and that is washed generally over the olive green areas. Than went in with incubi darkness on its own and washed it into the global shapes laces that are darkest underneath arms chin underneath forearms etc.
I then juiced in purple and red washes over where the incubi darkness was shaded. After it built up I used coelia green shade directly over that.
Note some people like to sketch in the shades secondary and tertiary shades than blend in. I like to do this as I go along the diff between the most shading and a place with secondary (not as dark) is simple it is simply LESS coats than what I would do to the darker parts which get many!!!!

After all that start juicing or glazing in your reds ( I use blood letter red mixed with Mephistopheles red a drop ) glaze in until you feel you like your tiny.

Enjoy.

Juicing sounds like how I do all my blending lol, yes it takes forever but it's the method i get best results with although I've always called it glazing. Thanks bam I've got some ideas now :)

Outstanding work on these guys. The contrast is great between the blues, greens and whites. Also lovely work on the skin tones, lifelike.

LLLLOOOLLLL I'VE STARTED A BLOODBOWL REVOLUTION!!!! Get your franchises ready were gonna battle it out for the bloodbowl championships!!!! Put your crazies on a diet, a strength conditioning program, have them memorize the plays and buck up!!!!

Yeppers sicks glazing is really termed when you tint a hue normally at the end to add variation... However the "JUICING" is termed for actually laying in shadows with the consistency of a glaze.

EUSI - thank you so much for the compliment!!! Golden.

Dang, I am out of pocket for awhile and you have several pages of updates to review. I gotta say the final tweaks to the trolls skin and accessories really made him fit in with the rest of the team even with the different skin tones. Blastin' work here.
