Great job on this one BAM, love the shading of the metallics, gives it some good depth... I was quite excited about the release of this one, seems like a great model to build and paint, still haven’t got around to picking one up yet.

thinking ahead . My trials and twins will always be making the best painted units -it’s what I love the most. Again though every year I try to embark on something new to bring up to the level of everything . I’m turning my hand a bit at giving more theme to the bases and hopefully that will lead me to producing some nice DUELS . I’ve gotten my landscapes up and my theory on base ing and composition etc., after taking jarheads immensely helpful class. So now because I’ve been more focused on gaming with has me more focused on fluff and gamesworld mythology it def helps when coming up with thematic scenery and thematic actions that the model or models will be involved in. I reaped some great benefits with my blue chips and although the painting g was good there were much better. What won me and had me beat out some amazing 7 entries was the themes going on in each model. Some very precise weathering which always saves my butt and viola.

So the light box for jewelry set up that jan has is fine until I attempt to photograph a metallic(tmm)model with gloss varnish to give e tea shine. Being in a realistic style painter this is unforgiving in a light box especially one for jewelry.ots has the reflective properties bounce the light right at you Linda like high beams used in foggy weather- DONT DO IT.
Mai she had to find a well lit room in the house with a suitable backdrop and use her camera with white balance on auto.. my girl finally can allow me to show you guys what the model actually looks like. Big news!!! Didn’t want to say anything until I was sure. For the last three weeks Janet has caught the painting bug. It injected so much venom that it’s all she talks about. I taught her a week befor that all i new and how I go about some of the techniques I use and showed her many others so she could test the waters ..she asked me to be hinest and if I can guide her (only in instruction no brush of mine /only Hera/ ) would help her to enter her first model into the beginners section at novas capital palette . So three weeks ago she and I began her journey. She woke up early to get a ton of jewelry related work off her desk to come into our studio room and paint paint paint. She took very easy to light pressure on the brush brought all her own including broken toad and loves to edge highlight. Probably what shwsbest at.
