next up: belts more texture shoulder pads (finish the 2 start the 3rd) going with 2 light clothing 2 dark clothing and each drk(slightly diff than the other ) and same for the light coloring to give some individuality as orks are not marines or Chadian guard . Iow they take what they find strewn from bodies on the field so each ork doesn't really have or lend itself to uniformity as being unlike each other is what gives orks their uniformity. So here's where I'm at folks any ?s ill be glad to Answer them . Time to call it a night . Yes after 9 hrs of on off painting today got to rest the hands , eyes oh yeah and cater to the misses as you all know she's my backbone !!!

I love work like this as i struggle with making things look dirty or beaten up. Orks and nurgle marines are the bane of my existence ;)

Lol it's something very simple actually zab I've seen your work and love it it always has grit but if your looking for a way to do things I use a simple a piece of corner ripped off from a sponge from the old blister packs if its a dark color I'm dirtying up ill use a light color to dab onto the random pieces of the model and if its a light color ill pretty much use rhinox hide. There's also a description in my w I p how I weather metals it's pretty str8 forward too. With pigment powders edge highlights and random scratches.try it out and you'll see it's very easy the steps to follow there is even a pic of me showing how with tweezers dabbing or stippling with the end corner of the sponge.sane for the blood.View attachment 29584just make sure to dip it in the paint you choose and then dab it on your pallet to 1) get excess off 2) look to see you happy with the pattern that it leaves the go to work as simple as that bud.

Okay folks we've started the biggest baddest ork I've ever held in my hands and I'm saying it first " this model will eventually be in the GW HALL OF FAME"guaranteed its an amazing sculpt its unbelievable and towers over even the nobz and flash gitz boxed set miniatures this I will take much time on I've done the face and like the scheme given to me by papa DR. So ill leave you all with this photo of where I'm at and will periodically take shots as I progress in the model!View attachment 29589View attachment 29589

Stellar job on the skin there bro. Off to a great start on this guy. I have to agree that this is a Hall of Fame sculpt. Very cool. His weapons are damn cool too. Is that that a primer on there or a base coat?

Hey Ben it actually is a primer sold by GW called mournfang brown. It actually makes any green that's painted into it show up a certain way a distinct color if you will. It can be sprayed on or painted on I spray prime it. It leaves a smoothe finish us it helps leaving the brown on the pants and shirt so it saves me some time.;) thanks for all your support Ben.

Started the metal work and weathered steel and brass on the combiweapons on this warboss again lead belcher base than agrax earth shade and Lahmian medium washed over it than null oil mixed with a drop of Abadon black paint. From here I start laying I. The rust and dirt/grime . Staring with scorched brown ill lay in every recess and pieces where different parts connect just like -brown/black lining -same idea. From here ill lay in bestowal brown over the exact same spots scorched brown was laid into . But the difference is random patches on the metals as well. When that done ill use vermin brown again laid in wherever I had previously than also random patches of the bestial brown get layered in with the vermin brown as well. View attachment 29615

Thanks for that. Very informative for someone like me who doesn't do TMM very often and certainly doesn't weather that well. Your abilities are very top level and style extremely unique. Your #1 fan!

Okay folks here's where I'm at next part of the weathering is rust via (mig pigment powders light rust) and hawk turquoise from GW then ill tie all together with an agrax earthshade glaze t tine things down and tighten up the color adding to the grit. I've also taken the livery to draw swirled on the rockets as ork love loud colors and sloppy crazy graffiti jobs on their looted weaponry ,armor ,cloth etc.
