Just a different light sorce and also attempted the 1st steps for the worn metal areas. I paint in the style of meike reimer meaning I bounce around the miniature. Iow I won't just do all the flesh, metal areas etc in sequence. I might move from flesh to armor to leggings to flesh again. It keeps me not bored.stay tuned folks.

9 hrs today and yesterday I picked em up at my gaming store the "game room". This was at 1:00. So 6hra yesterday and 9 hrs today. I'm happy with the color scheme and how the model is turning out as I will go ahead with a unit of a 5 man squad. Called squad pustulus. A death guard squad of nurgle. Oh how I love things not only green but weathered and diseases flesh and metals. All who know me my style and techniques fit these models perfectly. And when it comes to competing I'm not like other artists who are so good they just devise an idea and then put it into motion. No I'm the artist that when comes to competing ill stick to my strengths and give it a hopeful go from there. So I present to you the 1st of 5 hopefully they will be finished and from there see a competition 1 day when games day returns to the US of A!!

Thank you mr Mephistopheles !!! I always bask in you approval. Guys just so ya know MEPH is no joke man. Neither is any of my panel extraordinaire. Meph, Denny boy,BFOK , sionid, diggs, chaos spawn , Demi, ten, Andy, baily , zabs , any and every one of these guys who give approval are top guns of the game. And lets not forget the grandest of pubas the mighty and experienced..ZUG...no not him. I mean DRAGONSREACH. Any body with the reach of a 50 ton dragon will mess you right up. Just saying thanks to my cmon family. And yes you too skels!!! And the newcomers darthmarsh , stew sayer , and any I haven't named. Your all golden guns in my time!!! Now back to painting. And btw 3/5 silver meds on putty and paint. My 2 other posts are 1vote away from more well deserved medals. Bout time. Lol

That marine is looking nasty in the best of ways, I like the green and reddish-purple contrast. Your weathering is something to behold, very convincing and well-placed. I agree about bouncing around the miniature, I have no idea how people who only do one area at a time end up with good color balance!

You know sionid I just realized when you said it bouncing around the model does give color balance. Until you said it I did t realize it. Holy smokes. Good call brother.

Remember when one of the Muppet critics died. OMG yeah on the show they had the funeral and everything. Those guys are my favs from the Muppet show. OMG meph a walk down mem lane. I concur it's a blessing m8. Remember we would fly out to an intergalactic fight for one another. Ide kill for you muppets. (Man feels) lol

99% finished in the first I immediately started the work on #2/5 and here are some shots taken in various stages and no particular order just to show. If anybody has any questions on the shading and highlight as to what colors I've used, ill be happy to answer them. Again my style is realistic , I live the comic book style but my skill level has evolved towards realistic so that's why I do it. Enjoy REMEBER green, weathered and weathered metals is my strengths and that why I choose models that can benefit from my style and fortes .

Didn't that chicca chicca theme used to used in 70's XXX movies as an intro to waaawaaaaaa pmsl

Here are the first 2/5 . Been working in them since Saturday. This time I've used the base color/shading /highlights of the PRIVATEER PRESS "CRYX" color tutorial. It looked like that wonderful warm highlights /cool shades of nurgleish green.

Awesome paintjob, mate. But you really have to cough up 10-15 bucks for a little tripod for pictures. Your painting skills scream for crisp photos. :soldier:

he yes meph I pretty much have all of the good stuff regarding cameras so what I do is take the crap cellphones ones and then when I'm ready for the gallery my fiance breaks out the good stuff and then she takes the professional ones. This way it really wows the audiance.lol thank you so much for saying g you liked em so if you liked the crap pay ones then you'll love the finished product. I have the cannon eos 6d if I'm saying it right the knight box and all the wonderful trimmings. My fiance is a jeweler a day she had to learn all that camera stuff. So when it comes to the gallery you'll see a huge difference. Basically if you like the painting with the garbage photos then get ready for the cannon 6d or whatever it's called. I'm always looking for approval in my minis and you meph I know I get the sincerity.the next w I p shot will be with the cannon. I'm on it here I go mephs.

The Chaos Marines are looking fantastic. This might be your best stuff yet John. I love the green and I feel like you are getting so tight on the battle damage and blood!

From a guy who's first post on P&P gets editor choice I'll Def relish in the fact you like them. Thanks demi. I also agree they might be my best yet. As I said guys Im limited in techniques so I pretty much paint things that really play well on my strengths. So the color green (orks nurgle) and weathered armor (chips battle damage ) again (orks, nurgle) . So I'm glad everybody is seen g these the way I do. After all if it's green and weathered I can apply my techniques and recipes I've spent 25+ years perfecting these two things and know I do em well. But the reality is if it wasn't for ork or nurgle these techniques really wouldn't shine through as effective. I'm very happy when one of my boys likes the models I paint. It figures the moment my skills Excell is the moment golden demon gets cancelled. But what do I need any trophies or accolades for as long as my m8s like to view my work then I'm estatic. Again thanks to papa DR for leading me down the path of red/purples (a compliment to green) for shading and glazing overal, when working with green. BTW demi when I do my so get dabbing onto the armor let's say I dab it and it leaves 3 small various sized dots. At this point I'll load my brush up with thinned paint of the rhino hide and then I'll hand paint right onto those 3 dots making them a Lil larger here and there and manually tweaking the original shapes my be 1 large one and 2 small. Or 2 small on the left and right and a large misshaped splat in the middle. Iow I use a paintbrush to tweak the original odd shaped dots. Any ? S guys I'll be glad to send you back and fourth emails of the step by ste i find its easier to do it that way and I'm always ready to help another artist and my friends and m8s.

A proper pic from my fiances camera studio : this is professional grade photo thanks to my fiancé :you'll see a huge difference in the top (shitty cellphone) and the bottom light box cannon 6d.
