I've been considering having a mini to paint for display purposes and practice my 'good' painting instead of just painting for gaming. I have absolutely no gaming use for these guys, and they'll be fun to paint, so they are excellent candidates. Once I've cranked out all of my Nasier, I might give one a shot. Got some excellent inspirational pictures here between you and Demi's version.

Ok so here's a somewhat of a sbs bustimizing a resin plinth from model display products I think it's around 45 mm width I'm pretty sure but do not quote me their but this same process can be found on Dakka Dakka ,massive voodoo and a ton of other forums. Those just starting out getting into display models this is kinda a beginner to intermediate stages display creations. So here's the photos and then ill explain:step 1,2,3 etc.:View attachment 38789View attachment 38790View attachment 38791View attachment 38792ok so take the plinth and draw a stories line on a theirs of the base dotted like a surgeon will do for marking his incision. Next using a drill or a pin vice (the latter takes forever) using a big drill but and drill holes on and along the dotted line bothe vertically and horizontally . Make sure the holes are close together. As close as you can get them. The reason for two directions (vertically, horizontally) is in the later stages the holes meet and intersect allowing that 1/3 rd of the resin base to be to be popped off. Once that's done take a large piece of a epoxy putty sausage and flatten it out into a sheet like pizza makers roll out a sausage out of a blob of dough. Apply this sheet of putty all along the side that's been drilled and popped off. This is how you can start pushing little bits of slate or stones into the cliff side. Once this is done spray prime it varnish it. Paint it up and add details all over the goddammned thing. Viola instant cliff side or if youde like a lake or swamp anything your heart desires. Enjoy any questions ill be glad to clarify. Stay tuned.

Better color

This is exactly the light I needed to show all my boys the actual color scheme and time variation I've done with this beast of a model. Next up ima gonna start painting the base and adding all sorts of shit... Btw this model was entirely two brush wet blended. This technique works for me I use it a lot and always practice it . The face however was juiced(applying very thinned glazes) this term "thinned glazes" is exactly what I'm trying to say as opposed to just glazing . Iow the pink hue on the upper and lower jawline was about 24 -30 applications of juice (an extremely thinned glaze) so there you have it. Stay tuned men and women!

As I've stated this is exactly the color I've been trying to get in the photos this is the closest I can get to what I'm seeing, and it's pretty darn close. Enjoy.

He's looking good BAM. Completely disregard this next coment as it probably just comes down to my own personal preference and you've done a huge amount of work on the glazes, but I think he's looking a little washed out and a little too pink (ducks for cover) maybe a little green to bring back the main colour?

Looks good. I like these sculpts. And that bloody spiked hammer is really cool. As for the pink hue, that could just be the photo/background. Try doing the photos against a red backdrop (like your earlier ones). The red is a nice contrast for the green figures anyway.

Yeah I have to say this color scheme is really difficult to get what I'm seeing I'm gonna try and get the camera out today..I've never had this much difficulty with a model like I did with this...and the last 3 days I'm out of cable and Internet man I never realized how much lifeel sucks without it..stay tuned..the next lizard is my favorite olive drab green and beige...at that point I'll have an idea of what colors I'll have for the boxart.

These are what I've been working on!!! Enjoy... But stay tuned as I get close to the finish line. Both came out exactly like the image I had in my head.normally I begin and have an idea but lately I'm getting very proficient at mimicking what the idea I have I my head and transferring that image to what I'm working on. Again a combo of warm and cool times
