...I'm super happy the two I've done so far and I'll be showing them to moron as I've said so hang tight and you'll see it before you know it ladies and gents...

Hey! Who're you calling a moron?! Autocorrect can be such a b@*^h. :D

When are Crystal Brush entries due? At least I'm sure to get some great eye-candy in the WIP threads leading up to it. :)

I'm glad you're happy with them so far BAM - in my (admittedly limited) experience that's usually a good sign. We'll be keeping an eye out for pics. :bulgy-eyes:

Yay pictures! :bulgy-eyes:

Fabulous work on the faces my friend. And they're starting to look more "vikingy" with their furs.

Oh beautiful faces! I also prefer the one on the left although I like them both. I specially need lots of practice on faces and skin.

View attachment 41333 Another update , normally I don't paint 2models at once but it's def keeping me busy and this is also helping me use my time efficiently. Although the sheild will be immersed in shadow I think ill still paint a Viking motif on it . All I could say is its not necessary but when competing the judges like this kinda thing cause then They start looking all over these Lil guys and start seeing all sorts of things and by that time you have their attn.does this mean one ends up placeing-NO lol. Cause simply you never know what they're looking for or who's gonna show up. If the too 100 painters in the world show up and they enter all the categories then no one wins... Except baily because he's just like those too guys. His style is wonderfully realistic and I don't see anybody rivaling him in the historical/large model cats. He even beat Tom ales in the historical for first place. I mean seeing his stuff in person is so damn well painted no one has any idea! So back to my point just gotta hope the top guys don't show or hope they don't enter any categories I'm in! Lol

Yeah, good idea to include the pattern even though the shield will be in shadow. It's little details like that which can make the difference in a competition setting. Ha, well if the top 100 painters showed up, I think I'd be pretty screwed too. Though I'd love to see all their stuff in one place, so maybe it'd be worth it!

The blue on the one guy looks great, I really like the contrast and colors you've got there. Be careful with the blood splotches. Right now it looks like these two guys have the same stain on their right breast. It's probably because that's the only stain the one on the right has... but as you do the rest of the weathering on him and the other figures just make sure you switch up the locations. Otherwise it can interfere with the random effect you're going for.

I think what you've got is fine, just make sure the rest are random. And if everyone in the group had the same blood stain it'd look pretty weird. Theres going to be some repeats, I think when you do the rest of the second guy it will look fine. It's just since he's only got one that it stands out.

Plus I'm not competing in historical squad, so I'm happy to give you as much help as I can. For the categories we're going head to head in... well, I may come up with some more 'creative' suggestions. =P
