Looks great, BAM. I like all the weathering and texturing. Have you told us who the last one will be?

You mentioned the movement tray which is basically a display plinth and it got me thinking... it'd be neat to use that to convey some information about who these guys were fighting. Were they fighting an army, town guard, or regular villagers or monks? You could scatter around some equipment dropped during the battle. Or you could have some piles of loot they're carrying away. What about some dead bodies? Or maybe they've just returned home, so behind them is the shore and, if you're feeling ambitious, the prow of a viking boat.

I wouldn't spend a great deal of time on the movement tray, so I'm not suggesting you go overboard with it. But, what I am suggesting is do something with it to tell more of the story. It can be very subtle, just something to reward the viewer for looking closer. They're your figures and the story is yours, just something to think about as you wrap up the scene.

Ok just got out photography equipment updated after a lol accident still can't get the shots I wanted. At this point I dare say the iPhone pics are more true to what I'm seeing in person than this new setup with the LIGHTBIX. This will take some getting used too all over again.View attachment 42707View attachment 42708 and here is a model I'm doing now called slaughter priest from games workshop . *swoon* I love your vikings my friend. Just awesome.

That slaughter priest is one angry person! It must be interesting going down in scale again. :)

That skin is looking sweet.

And love the vikings. I need to switch my background to that light grey you have been using. It really showcases the minis beautifully.

So I'm back to my fantasy group for crystal brush. Got a ton of compliments today the greatest was that I have a very unique painting style that mimics Jakob Neilson mixed with a bit of John Blanche -I don't see it but some very high calibre artists have said it in a blog group discussion regarding an increase in my skills during the last year. To me I'm just trying to follow jeremie tebouls book to the best of my ability and I really love the whole relearning of the painting process. So without further ado in between commissions and crystal brush a Lil more progress on my unit. Some are warmer than others and some are cooler . Enjoy and stay tuned folks...golden ;))

*pounce* There you are!

They're looking fabulous BAM - the base work ties them together really nicely.

They're just missing a Khorgorath to round them out.... :p

Wow, great looking squad (and very high praise too). Have you got a blog you've been hiding or was this someone else's?

One quick note on the fantasy squad... don't let it get too big. The rest of us need room in those cabinets for our work as well. Or maybe that's the strategy. I see how it is, you'll fill up all the shelves and then no one else can enter. Very tricky, Mr. BAM. Very tricky.
