This group looks like a pretty serious step forward in terms of integration of your style and your technique. Rarely does such a bloody and grimy bunch of guys look so beautiful, too! Reeeeeally nicely done, BAM.
I certainly hope that when you have time (ok, if you have time), you'll give us a bit of a guide to your execution of the gore (it's getting very subtle while still being, well, everywhere!) and the snow (I've seen a lot of very pretty snow, but this really looks like it was thick and heavy and got muddied and kicked all around in the course of battle).

Toad, I think he has explained both in the past. Yeah, I know, the WIP is over two hundred pages long...

Banging work, John! And Arch, the reason why we only get pics from the front is that he never paints the back. True story.

Should he not be holding his wound with his other arm/hand instead of trying to dance? Or maybe it's somewhere else in the woods.

Yay my pics for the back!

BAM - I'm not sure why, but the new guy's face is bothering me. His cheeks seem too "clean" like he just got our of a warm shower. Just comparing him to the other four who look a bit more battle grimey.

The shield looks good - although some more battle damage might be called for. Most of the marks are quite light/not very deep and the rim looks untouched.

Does he have a sword or a big-ass axe?

Hope my comments make sense. Just trying to help.

I think its the fact that the others have full faces and like the other dude the beard they have doesn't allow much room for more shading.I'm going to throw up some more pics and I'll see when I look them over what else needs to be adressing..thanks muchos for the feedback.

Looking good, BAM. I think part of the reason the face looks odd is the nose. I can't see any nostrils, so it looks a bit cartoony. My guess is it's just the angle and perhaps that he's slightly out of focus. As it stands, it looks like the end of his nose is just a big circle. I don't see this issue with any of the other pieces, so the painting may be fine... it could just be the photos. BAM, you can see it in person, so you're the best to judge. Do the nostrils need to be defined more or is does it look okay?
