WHOA WHOA WHOA! SAY WHAT! YOU JUST BLEW MY MIND. Where did you find such news. I had a good laugh (and I will share soon) at one of the minis I painted....probably THE first mini I painted. Now that I think about it, this is probably how I got into the miniature hobby.

Thinking about heroquest was probably my first miniatures game too, I remember my friend had it and eventually gave it to me, I must have been 8 or 9 at the time and it definitely paved the way into the hobby for me, the updated version has some nice looking minis but I'm not sure if I want to buy a whole game just for the models again

Yeah, the gobo in the barrel is a great touch. By the way, the guys on either end tie into the theme with your pirate figure. Another neat looking unit from BAM!

So as follows the orks above are my sci fi unit,
The other two units are my Viking raiders ,historical , and my fantasy unit my bloodreavers unit, large model my berserker ,which might I add is a waste as I don't have a prayer and hope toile the finals, my pirate is in historical single and my sci fi single will be FULGRIM. And oh yeah my fantasy single is yours truly "Xzezbeth"View attachment 47500

Yeah, that was a ton of fun last year. Well, with the earlier entry deadline of 5:30 pm on Friday, we'll have less time to sweat. I remember last year we were worried what amazing pieces might show up Saturday morning, but not this time. By the end of Friday we should know what our competition is. That should give us more time to really look over all the entries and make our predictions.

Looking forward to hanging out with all the CMON crew!

Looking at your entries, I noticed that you've got the single figure and unit categories all covered... but nothing in any of the monster/vehicle ones. Considering your love of fantasy, chaos, and orcs, I'd think some of those monster figures would be right up your alley. I guess Xezbeth could fall into either the monster category or the single figure one. But still, it'd be fun to see you do a large monstrous creature. Sticking with Chaos, there's that new forgeworld chaos monster, Skaarac the Bloodborn. As I posted before, I could see you having a lot of fun with that one. You should also keep an eye on Creature Caster. They did a kickstarter a while ago, but are finally starting production on the figures. Nothing available yet, but hopefully in the next few months. They've got a bunch of cool figures (I'm especially excited to paint the Plague Angel), but you might like their Warrior Demon as it's very Khorne Bloodthirster inspired. Just something to think about for next year!

Def bail we should have less sweat time and as for next year I'll be bleeding my skills into those as well ,I really would love to try EM out and see what I could do regarding those larger more beautiful monster / vehicle cats....as soon as I get home you know how we do it I'll start that new blood of Horne demon.really looking forward to it.

Gobo in the barrel is just made of awesomesauce. :D

You've assembled a great collection of work for the comp BAM - hard to pick a favourite actually. They all have things I love about them. Good luck!

I wish I could come and see the entries in person and meet some of you crazy folks. Anyone want to buy a vital organ? I'll be there in spirit though with pom-poms waving for you, Bailey and Khonner (and anyone else I might know who's entering).

Ignore Bailey! No monsters. First a cuteness attack!

I am really happy for all you guys, going to conventions and painting contests is awesome but the cost is more then I can effort this year. Wish all you guys success, I thing the Blood Reavers are to be watched closely I hope Xezbeth will fall under monsters because you might have more chance scoring a medal! For the rest I don't have a clue. Everything is top notch John my jaw is literately on the floor at such beautiful entries.

Those all look amazing BAM. I really love those orks too, loads of character.

This will be the first time that I'm voting for the Chrystal Brush so I don't know what you're going to be up against, but if at least one of those doesn't take something home then apparently I don't know anything about miniature painting.

I love winning like everybody else I go to hopefully win.but what I also have is enough experience to know that the big names isn't what scares me it's the 20-30 painters those guys that I've seen in my 15 years of losing golden demon. The ones who consistanly win statuettes . There is bout 20 names I recognized all "like khavor and Jocelyn" who have win myiple and I mean 6- more demon awards in there lifetimes. Losing is never fun but last year I saw a bunch of names not even make the finals and again they have staying power cause these are the wins with many accolades. So you really can't feel down because win or lose your in great company and these guys are phenomenal. You see me on here when I recognize someone who is a multiple Holden demon winner and very blatantly give them props with ,as you guys say "no subtlety" lol. So keep in mind all who compete these comps are tough and every artist there has paid there dues and has been awarded many elite company prizes. Ill always disagree with meg I like everybody else is there to win. But I keep it in perspective whoever does win has had that ability to win and win alot prior to this comp.;) hang tight believe in your work but try to not get down. The winners merely wowed the judges beyond the technical aspect. It's their ideas, creativity, palette, modeling etc etc.;) good luck to all cmoners!!!

It's a great collection of art, BaM. I'll be voting (if that's possible from London, England), and wishing you and Bailey the best of luck. Wish I could go!
