no worries bam mate, my eyes are my best feature.

that red is looking a lot better now we're seeing more of that green armor around it, still think a couple of bits of purple and flesh here and there would add some nice things to both the armor and the entrails. (kinda like what you've got going on the face there)

Ok everybody knows I skip around alot...ALOT. I learned something early off that when you find your muse keep on that path and go with so SPROCKETS NEWEST PAINTJOB really was a force of inspiration. So I started a unit of 3 orks I had in mind and they are probably the GW BEST. So far. Btw they also were a big hit at uk GD. We're everybody's entries if these guys rocked. So I got down to it and liked David vibrancy so I wanted to settle on more of a florescent colors. Really make an impact. So I'm very little done but ill be seeing these guys thru because I love these models and really was floored by David's work... Again. I allocate these both somewhere in between sproket's and ten ball's style ^^ Nice colours!!!
I see you desaturating the green on foot and hands to draw attention to face, I'm still unable to do it naturally/unconsciously there is so much to learn on my side!
Love them already...

Awesome!

Btw, I got those two books and I can't thank you enough for recommending them. They are amazing!

I also got my hands on the old 'Eavy Metal Masterclass book and it is full of awesome tips. I found it used on Amazon for $40 and it was worth every penny.

Okay started out with a BC of olive green.
Next the whole area was given a wash (diluted with lahmian medium only as GW shades cannot be thinned with water )
I then reapplied the olive green. As I reapply I started to lay in the shades to the deepest areas. The color used was "red shadow" I built this up over layers to intensify and achieve a smooth transition.then the secondary shades or areas needing shading that is not so deep I used red shadow mixed with pale olive 50/50.
After finishing this I started highlighting. Using olive green mixed pale olive.50 / 50
Then pale olive and olive green in a 2:1 ratio.
Then pale olive on its own. (I mix these with reapers drying retardant again to achieve a nice even smooth transition.
After this the whole area is given a glaze of biel tan green and lamenters yellow(mixed with lahmian medium alot of it) after all said and done i apply in thin layers the final color "moth green" this color is what gives that florescent vibrancy . This is it go and enjoy your green skins.

Looking good, BAM. So will you be aiming for a vibrant, clean, Sproket-y final product or will the desire to grime them up overwhelm you? Can you strike a balance?!
