As I expected you have been brilliantly busy in my absence. :D

The new vignette is very nice - experimenting with different colours is working for you.

However, I AM NOT SEEING ANY CUTENESS!!! Why do you resist me?!

LOLOLOLOL that bird was do cute he looked like a fledgling ... As least I thought he did :/ lololol little cute birdie feet and even tiny sword and shield!!! God her wiz so folks are just never happy!!! Lol

Even though he is not cute I shall forgive you. Mainly because, as per usual, you have done a cracking job. I absolutely love the tiny scratches you've incorporated into his armour and the worn leather on that strap is gorgeous. Are you still working on him? If so I'd suggest that the transitions in his cloak need to be smoothed out a little more - they're not quite up to the BAM standard yet.

Yeah today I have a task of doing the cloak over..I used a diff colored glaze for the Reds and didn't realize until too late that it's something I rarely use and stay away from in the past.it alter all the blends and shined it up . Oh well I now wrote down DO NOT use blood letter red! :/ ;)

Holy cow man, you're a machine! This guy really lends himself to your painting style, lots of room to play on his armor. I keep finding new neat little areas to look at. And the transition from flesh highlight to black for his beard - Excellent!

I see what you mean on the cloak though. It's nice, but not to the same standard as the rest of the model. I'm sure you'll get it sorted.

Do I have to beg a cute commission piece from you? I can save up my pennies and pay you in instalments. I'd get you to try something different AND have a BAM original as an addition to my display case (which I can finally organise when we move into the new house in a couple of months) - this is a most cunning plan I feel!

Yes, blend it up nicely, but... can you keep the orange hue? It really picks up the (let's call it) cyan colors in the armor.

I settled on a deep red which was seen in earlier photos without using that deadly ink wash....back demon... Very subdued ,simple idea deep red offset with beige trim and some dirt grime and signatures left from war...this is realism folks. Quality Johnboy, love it. The facial sculpt looks like his experiencing a moment of rather intense euphoria (which makes me happy that its only a bust #dwarfporn)
