Hi Bamster,

well, sometimes life gives you no other choice : struggle or die. Another thing that helped me a lot are video games. They create such beautifull worlds to "escape" in. I often wonder if intelligent alien life excist, if they would have entertainment too and what they would do to relax. It' something that seems so important to us human beings that I wonder if it is a necesarity to develop "inteligent" life? Who knows what kind of movies, games etc... they are making of us (the aliens to them).

This one is again becomming a true piece of art? Curious to see what kind of base you going to put him on.
Take care,

Gino(2dope)

I also found great co fort in video games, for me it's my legs since I as hit by a car when I as 11 and got my leg messed up pretty bad so alot of walking or standing etc. leads to alot of pain for me but I find video games were a great distraction, especially some of the modern ones that have almost exact replicas of places I will never go and see for myself, although at the moment I can't afford to keep up with the latest consoles and have money left for minis too so the gaming side of things has died down for me now, I prefer to paint and obsess over things I can make, I like that I have something to show for the hours of effort put in :)

Completely understand sicks. Finnishing a model gives a feeling of satisfaction I'll never get when playing games. And I think it is very important, at least to me, to get moment of satisfaction in life, no matter how small they are. Although I feel my modelling is of no importance to what all my wife does for our household, getting some satisfaction from modelling feels sooooo good.

Take care friends,

The Silver Tower barb dude is looking better and better BAM. the additional glazes and specular highlights are adding a real saturated depth to it.

Love it as always

Hi Bam,

Just finished reading through your entire post over the last couple of weeks during some down time at work. Your work is amazing. What makes it even more amazing is that you are able to pump out high quality figures consistently, and at such a quick pace. Loving the Orruks and silver tower minis. They are some of the best figures I have seen from GW in a long time.

We have some damn special people on these forums. Lovin' it!

BAM, I have been on a bit of a MAD Max marathon this week (original trilogy). This guy looks like he would fit right in with those characters...of course that means I think you should paint a Max mini! ;)

I actually stop by and read people's threads,.. but I must admit that I'm usually bad about posting. I need to work on that. It's mostly due to the fact that I get home late, I log on,.. look at all the pretty pictures from people more talented than myself,.. and then either get inspired, and log off to paint,.. or get depressed, because I'm nowhere near as good, so I log off. Someday I'll be as good as the rest of you,.. you just wait,.. you'll see!!!

Who knew assless pants would be a staple in the post apocalyptic world! Lol:) Wez would be proud of the paint job.

@ Web monkey: you are being too hard on yourself. You not only paint well, but are an excellent contributor to the painting community. Someday when we retire we will have the time to paint more and start catching up to BAM! :)

Lol of course krule and zabby are jokester and they both know how to achieve a pain in someone's stomach from having one laugh so hard....I just thought of something I'm not good with computers or uploading things etc ...so if krule or ZAB can post on my thread that piece of the mad max movie where the guy jumps and his ass is hanging out that would be hysterical... I think the part of the movie ends with the ass-guy saying to to Mel -YOU- YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CANT HIDE- llllooooolll ass hanging out!!! Lol

I always wondered in Fury Road how the clear acrylic breastplate had come to be the leisurewear of choice for aging overlords.
