Why do you say this is "pro level"?

I feel that if you are good at painting you don't have to announce it... it feels to "bragy".... I just ask to understand.

Your nmm doesn't look like metal. You need paint more white dots and to paint more half tones to give the illusion of real metal, all that mainly for gold.

Even though brass isn't as bright as gold, it is still a metal so it has to shine, you could paint fewer white dots than for a gold nmm.

Sure, but my idea was that old gold doesn't shine that bright

Tarnished , you mean? It's have a dirtier look, much darker, but still have at least one focus of brightness (or semi, bright). Shaping up nicely though =)
