New Exchange

Well, i dont think i like the idea of changing ME\', either. When i first viewed ME5, i had though that was sorta the dealeo, have a mini sent to you, paint it, then send it away.

But i like this format very much. It\'s a relaxed exchange. Changes in the exchange may upset or bother those who are looking forward to the exchange.

If anything, I would suggest that we make a new exchange. Which I am sure will be of fewer people. I think with the new exchange, a person who has been participating in these past ME\'s, should be selected, and talked with, in order to ensure a quality in this potential new mini exchange. Sinse the idea is attractive, there is no reason to spoil it.
My 2 cents.

For my tuppenceworth I like the mini exchange as it is, I think if you want to do a painted mini exchange then that should be a separate issue from this one. This has worked well for 6 successive times and I think that the old addage that if it aint broken then don\'t fix it is very apt.

Agreed! All of us paint at different levels, an exchange as such might scare off both those in the upper and lower ends of the scale. Leave well enough alone.

Oh, this miniature exchange setup stays the way it is. No sense in changing something that a lot of people are enjoying. It would definitely be another exchange.

I think the main problem with the PMS will be commitment. Will many people will commit their time to painting something they\'re going to give away? It would certainly make a fascinating swap, but only a sign-up with enough interested parties will indicate whether it might be successful or not.


Three more days before sign-up closes and the exchange partners are drawn. The list will be up by 0800GMT on Saturday. Please make sure I have not inadvertantly left your name off this list.

I\'ll have to pass on this one. I am in a bit of an upheaval in real life, and the post lost my package to Dragonpaint on ME #6 (I haven\'t got the next package in the mail yet, Paolo...sorry. Hopefully this week...)

Dont worry, it was not your fault :)
Take care of your Real Life and keep the miniatures for another ME I have to complete a bunch of miniatures so at this moment I cannot paint anything new

Most of you know how this thing works, but for the newcomers; the person before you on the list will be sending you some minis, and the person following you, is the person you will send minis to. At the ends of the list, we wrap around, so DrEvil sends to james9487. Send your private messages to your sender and your sendee, and have fun! :flip:

Since people will be trying to PM you, please check that I have the spelling and case on your names right. I\'ve tried to avoid any repeat partners from previous exchanges, but I know that I am missing some information from one of the early exchanges.

Now, if you have any complaints, you can write them on a piece of paper and wipe your... uhm, send them to me in a PM or in this thread. :)

Lastly, the random schmuck was drawn...

Congrats Fayarin on being psychic, and having a honkin\' big dragon coming your way soon.

As stated in my PM to you, Fay, I haven\'t yet had a chance to strip the dragon down, yet. Do you want me to strip him before shipping, or just send him as is?

Sjakkie now has my address to ship to me, too. Looking forward to seeing what comes my way. :)

Well, I don\'t have paint stripper of any kind (because I never really stripped, always used the nailpolish remover for fresh paint), so if I\'ll get well informed I\'ll just buy it myself :)

In the pm you mentioned that you don\'t have paint stripper, so I don\'t think it\'s fair to make you buy it, anyway :)
