Don\'t tell me he\'s dropped from existence after the address exchange.
That would just kick my cynicism into high gear.

Bought Sjakkie\'s Rackham Shanys on an Ebay auction, he was prompt and very communicative. Maybe life getting in the way? ....experienced that myself as a sender....

Sure, did, PORTA.

The Celtos figures are great! I\'ve actually been looking to buy the Arianrod of the Obsidian Spear figure -- sold out from the LGS before I got around to buying it.

The 54mm scale figure is wonderful!

You say a friend in your gaming group made this? Can you give any information on it (period, country etc)?

Great stuff! Thank you, PORTA, looking forward to painting!:D

I got my package from Lepordpixie today. At first i was concerned when there was a sticker on the bag that said\"we at the post office are sorry for the damage\" my fears were unfounded when I opened it up and found the following:

An Elf from Iron Mountain, not a fan of Elfs but I love the sculpt.

Some Chick from magnificent egos, never seen it before. I will be painting it soon.

And....a Garity dragon from Reaper. This fig looks incredible. The funny part was, as I was driving home, I was thinking...gee I want to paint a Dragon soon.

Thanks again

Hi,

I am still alive, but not that much time to get on the internet lately. I am spending a lot of time with my aunt who has cancer, her health is deteriorating rapidly I\'m afraid. But that\'s life.
On a more positive note: I am also quite busy setting up a party for the coming elections for the University Council of Utrecht University.
But nevermind all that for the moment.
Naukhel, the packet should arrive shortly. It has been posted about eight days ago. This time I shipped by standard mail (which should take 10-14 days), since priority would have been about two times as expensive (around 12 euros!) :wow:
Let me know once it has arrived.

All the best to all,

Jacky

I\'m sorry to hear about your aunt, Sjakkie. You and your family will be in my thoughts.

Welcome to our workshop. Today: How to tell someone is freaking nuts.

It\'s quite simple really. If you take part in a mini exchange, just look at what you get send. If you get a package containing all of the following:

your partner might very well be freaking nuts and incredibly generous. Or maybe misunderstood the rules and expected you to choose one and send the rest back ;)

Seriously, thanks, Axebone. That pile of loot is incredible. I think I\'ll paint this little guy here:

I think that\'s a Slaanesh guy, right? I like him, a big sword, a big armour, big hair and a book - man, you can never go wrong with that one :D

The problem with giving out so many minis is you scare off people who can only afford to give one or two.
One is all that\'s required. I\'m going to stick with giving around 4 because that seems like it fits well in the envelope and leaves me with enough stuff for the next round.
I hope people don\'t start feeling bad if they get stuck getting minis from me.

p.s. 2 weeks....

I had that thought too, but, the rules say you only need to provide 2. Also, the original intent was to get rid of some minis that were just laying around waiting to get painted anyway. If you send out 10 and get back just 2, well, that\'s 8 less minis you probably wouldn\'t have painted anyway.

Valloa appears to have recieved just 2 minis and appears quite happy about what was given.

If I remember to sign up for the next one there is going to be some weird stuff in the box. If, on the odd chance that somebody doesn\'t like anything in the box, I will feel bad for only a moment. They will at least have something to ship off on the next ME.

I\'ve made a start on all three of the minis that I recieved, I am spending most of my time on this one though as it is something that I do not usually paint. This is a very early WIP of the mini.

It is supposed to be a Space Wolf seargent, having looked through various books for inspiration I did not like any of the colour schmes that I had seen for these guys so I am going to wing it.

My other two minis are both LOTR and are a Knight of Dol Amroth (mounted) and also Eowyn shield maiden of Rohan. I have not taken a pic of them yet but I have started them.

WOOOO, I have ten minis in my hands, all the minis come from Valloa, thanks a lot .
I want to paint a revelation\'s mini called The rook, very fine detailled and good pose.:flip:

Axebone, that\'s a helluva pile of loot to fire off! And I second Valloa -- what\'s the woman in the bag?

PORTA -- what did you get?

Tidoco2222 -- looking at your great job on that space wolf, i\'ll be afraid to paint space marines in the future for fear of coming up short. Very nice.

Yepyep. I\'m quite happy with my two, especially when I receive minis like this that I normally wouldn\'t have picked up or known about. (I tend to not follow what GW has for example) I also have more metal than I can ever paint and some of my tastes have changed over time. If I can give someone a selection or a stash that they might enjoy, and might get around to painting some day, that makes me happier than just having those miniatures sit around forever waiting for paint from me.

I\'m also erratic, I don\'t always send out large packages for the ME\'s, it really depends on what I have lying around at the time if I\'m busy and how much time to look for fitting minis or info I have on my exchange partner.

I would hope folks wouldn\'t be scared of participating on the off chance they might get more than they give out, that\'d be a shame since these are meant to be fun. Likewise, I would hope noone would sign up just on the hopes they\'d get a massive haul.

I agree with Maya -- you send what you send and you get what you get. That\'s what I understand to be the essense of the rules in any case.

If someone sends a huge box -- great! A little box is just as good, though -- it\'s the exchange that matters, not the haul.:)

Excellent work tidico, i\'m glad you\'re enjoying the models, and i\'m really impressed with your progress so far.

MY MINI\'S TURNED UP TODAY!

Seems they were stopped by customs, as the package has been re-taped with \"officially sealed\" tape. I guess the harem girl (which is very nice by the way :) ) showed up on the xray and they wanted a perv.

Also included was the wyrd guy holding a flame, and elvish/arachnid warrior labelled \"dark forest\", a unit of 6 reaper skeletons weilding massive swords, a pot-bellyed ogre type with sword and some kind of dominatrix with circular saw.

All in all an excellent range of mini\'s, especially considering that I can\'t get most of them here, and they\'re not sci-fi, so it\'s going to be a great experience painting them, thanks heaps Frustrated Father :)
