I love civilian minis, she\'s great, and this will be my first robot - lots of opportunity to work on metallics.

That would be a good idea if I could find cars in scale.

I was thinking of her standing next to a ferrari, lambourghini or other fast car with a sign saying \"Pasadena 50 mi.\" (but again, the car scale problem)

Would a 1/10 scale of a samll car like a mini cooper work out? You could also use a tank from 40K. Not quite what I had in mind.

yup sent it out over a week ago.. shipping to canada is slow at best..its your customs service. I find packages normally take a week to 10 business days or longer. I joked with the postal clerk when I mailed it cause I was sending a package to Japan on the same day..I said the guy in Japan will have his package befor the guy in Canada.. and he did..got it in 4 days.

Yaaay! I got my package of goodness today from Multifracture not only did it include a nice bag of GW 40K minis.. but it had 4 packages of Walker Crisps in it..

Today I recieved my package from Dragon Forge Design! In it, a great variety of miniatures, listed below.

1 GW Champion of Chaos, 93\'. As was the style of the time, this champion is a beastman, and this guy exudes doom!
1 GW Dragon Ogre.
2 GW Lizardmen. 1 mini triceretop shaman, and one Saurus Warrior, with a faincyful feather on his cap, and lots of character. Both mini\'s date late 90\'s, 98\', 96\'.
One GW mini titled \"undead\". This nasty skeleton on skeletal mount dates back to 1987.
And one Chaos Terminator, dateing 1996\'.
I have a thing for old minis, too! Nice mini.

Even more! I have an orc here. I am not sure of it\'s make. The detail is very good, from what I can tell. Which i can decribe as flambouyantly dressed, and none to bright. Wielding a large axe. Maybe he is a merchant? Perhaps a lost nobel? He will be a pleasure to paint.
And finally this mini of an elf? I beleive this is an elf. I will assume it is a woodelf, a ranger, or a dark elf. I\'m not sure yet. Very nice. Dangerous.

Hey Jeff, I\'m glad you are happy with your package as well. Yes, Americans have a wierd post. I am glad you covered shipping, and that there was no duty for me! It\'s bizar that it takes longer for a package to get here, then to the far east. I\'m all grins today, thanks for the great minis.

Goodies came in for me today as well. First the ME7 participation prize - thanks, big fella, have some ideas on him.

Also Alessio\'s package came in today and was a nice selection. Mindstalkers Dara, Confrontation Keratis, Hasslefree Borak and Kurz as well as a resin bit of a manufacturer I don\'t know. She\'s shattered in about twenty pieces though! Looks pretty neat though, I\'ve been piecing her together tonight for the fun of it.



Thanks! Think Borak will get attention first, surprised me, he\'s a bit larger than the normal HF line.

Next time I will send one registered!!! Really do not understand. Valloa got her airmail from South Africa in 2 weeks.

I already started on the Maidenhead Miniatures centaur chick. Vicky was so taken with it she looked up the web site and loaded up a wishlist with all kinds of goodies. I will be posting some painted things to eBay to offset the bill! lol

There were minis in my mailbox today!

Fayarin sent me a D&D Wood Elf Ranger, a WH40K Swooping Hawk, and a few LoTR\'s: a Elf of Lothlorien and a couple of plastic warriors of Rohan and Warriors of Minas Tirith.

Thanks! I especially like the D&D one because it\'s the only D&D mini I\'ve ever had! She\'s pretty cool!

Okay - so this is like my first ME and all and I\'ve been having tons of fun so far. So, please forgive my noob question if the answer has been posted somewhere else but:

What do we do with our completed mini?

Now, I cringe at the anticipation of some of the answers, but do we send it on to another exchangee, post images for all to gawk and oggle, or simply taunt everyone with a lame description of our feeble attempt to layer a coat of colored emulsion over the surface?

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming....
