I am definitely happy that CMON forum exist and thanks for any work you do to keep it running!
I am just curious why there is a block that “no forum post” profiles cannot change avatar and how this helps prevent profile spam… I would understand that false profiles will be created in order to vote multiple times. Why would anybody want to change aesthetical part of false account if it is not necessary? To make it looks like more real? Why?

Anyway, I just posted this question in order to expand rather simple “mandatory post”: Hi CMON.
It does not bother me that much, so answer is not requested

A while ago we had a couple of kids swapping avatars and forum names almost on a weekly basis, plus not all spammers are robots.

It costs a credit to change a UserName.

In an effort to stop profile spam, I've disabled the ability to edit your profile or add a forum signature until you've posted at least once on the forums. So, if you find you can't edit your sig or whatever, just say hi, or complain even and you should be all set. Promotions happen every hour on an automated schedule.
