Okay, have a look at Zeiren or maybe those big ugly wolfen wariiors, and you tell me EXACTLY how they do up thos eteenie little buckles that are all over their outfits???? I mean, their fingers and nails are like the size of my hand and the buckles are very small indeed! :moon:

Tell me about it. But the thing I REALLY can\'t stand about the Wolfen are all the human heads. It\'s as though the sculptor saw empty space and thought \"Well... Either I could put on some nice ornate detailing.... oooooor I could stick on another severed head dangling by its hair.\" Even if it were a trophy, I\'d hope that my wolves had killed more than just one or two important enemies. Whatever happened to a nice notch on the battle staff?

P.S. I\'ve been branded. When I saw the forum topic, I thought \"Trix are for kids!\"

The Skins

THen there is an issue with a) their skin (or more to the point, lack of fur) and b) the human anatomy....

They all have these crazy tattoos, well when is the last time you saw a dog with a tattoo? Maybe they are hairless canines...

And their overall general shape... canine? Nay, I would have to say humanoid, right down to the end of Ibis\' boobs...

Alas, the pangs of Fantasy scream at me again! Oh well, they would still be tough buggers for a 3rd level D&D party to kill!!!

From the rulebook, about Wolfen: C\'est une follie de croire qu\'en eux sommeille une part d\'humanité.... Or, approximately translated, It\'s foolish to believe there is a trace of humanity in them.

Oh, but that\'s the point: it IS fantasy after all. Personally, I love the idea of tatooed wolfen! And my guess is, on a practical note, that it\'s a cool piece of detail on such large surfaces.

PS1: the belt buckles thingies was hilarious... :bouncy:

PS2: BTW, kittykat23uk does paint her wolfen furry... and they simply rock!

Yes I like my wolfen to be Fluffy!!!:bouncy: But then, I like werewolf the Apocalypse RPG and especially Ron Spencer\'s artwork.

Zaphod- check out the new updated wolfen pics in my gallery!

edit

As for their cloting, if they were werewolves and not wolfen, they\'d put the clothes on in homid (human form) get them dedicated and then they\'d transform with them when they shift to crinos (big wolfie form).

Cheers,

\"Wair wolf\" is how I pronounce it, but really you can use either. The werewolfs in the game prefer to be called Garou. (pronounced Ga-Roo!) AROOOO!!!! Howl at the moon baby! lol

Kat may be the resident werewolf specialist, but I probably know more abouts Vamps than anyone on this thread (except Glyn, probably). :p

I also liked Werewolf the Apocalypse but I never bought any of the books, I REALLY wanted the video game to come out, but the deal fell through. :(

It\'s called, \'willing the suspension of disbelief\'

I know Glyn has his tongue tucked firmly in his cheek, but this does resonate with some of the comments you often see posted on minis.

Who hasn\'t seen, and marvelled at, comments like:

\"Space Marines wouldn\'t do that\"

\"Goblin\'s skin is lighter than that\"

\"That Wolfen female should have 8 more breasts\"

\"As a professor in anatomical shenanigans I can categorically state that that dark elve\'s legs are way too thin!\"

\"Okay, have a look at Zeiren or maybe those big ugly wolfen wariiors, and you tell me EXACTLY how they do up thos eteenie little buckles that are all over their outfits???? I mean, their fingers and nails are like the size of my hand and the buckles are very small indeed! :moon:

Sorry Glyn! Got carried away there for a moment.lollol
