Simple Questions from a Novice

Hi. I haven\'t played 40K yet, but have been getting myself geared up to get going.

Being a complete an utter novice, I have many questions, and I am sure that there might be others out there who also have question. Thus, I\'ve made this thread for all us beginners to ask you experienced players questions with the hopes of having them answered.

My first question is:

I am figuring out the point value for the Inquisitor Lord that will be the HQ for my SOB army. Is he limited to the hundred points of wargear allowed for any character, and do his psychic powers count towards this limit?

I\'m pretty sure that psycic powers do count towards wargear (as with daemonhunters) but if you want a better answer ask the guys on the gw forum who love this kind of question

I\'ll try and help out on other questions :)

forget asking

It\'s probably been covered a hundred times. Just go to the forums and search. However, the GW boards do move pretty fast. You\'d probably have your answer in an hour.

Yes he is limited to 100 points of wargear, but retinues and psychic powers do not count towards that total.

Also the best place for rules or tactics is Dakka Dakka. The people know their rules and will give you honest answers about the effectivenss of a said list or tactic. Their Rumours section is also the best on the net. The EOT on GW\'s website is nigh incomprehensible, same with Portent. B & C is full of oversensitive fluff nazi\'s who whine about how unfluffy leagal armies are. They do have an excellent painting section. Of course CMON has the best minis and painting advice.
