Simple torso swap question...(Newbie)

CMON folks, I turn to you for advice, as always, regarding the conversion of a miniature.

As a very nice birthday present, I received the Games Workshop Winged Nightmare figure. The critter is spectacular, but the Vampire is the usual garish GW vampire. Thus, I was considering slicing him off at the waist, and replacing his torso with a Brettonian knight, to better fit the undead Brettonian crusader theme I\'m going for, but maintaining a similar charging poise. But, having never done such a conversion, I\'m at a loss at to which figures would be the most appropriate.

Can anyone point me towards figures that would likely look good when merged? I\'m comfortable with the swap itself, having done a good many of them recently, but the materials...I lack experience.

Undead Bretonnian crusade... Mmmmm that\'s interesting!
Maybe you should wait for next month, Bretonnians will be out by then, and you\'ll have more choice for the model.

I dont know about the new bretonians, but the old bretonian models had seperate legs hence the swap is really easy from that point of view. As for what model it all depends on the look you are going for, my pegasus conversion uses a knights errant model as i like the look, but the grail knights obviously look more regal, your choice really

The basic plastic Bretonnian knights would ber easiest to work with (I assume the new Bretonnian releases will include plastic Knights of the Realm, but you may be able to find the old two-knights-to-a-box set). Checking out the GW online store (you can search for individual bitz) will probably yeal dozens of metal grail/questing/realm knight torsos.

For extra Brettonian vampire perviness, you can\'t beat Morgana Le Fay. She sits sidesaddle \'cause she\'s a classy lassy. She\'d look really cool on a Winged Nightmare.
