So is that done with oils? or is it a photograph. If it\'s painted it is the best quality photo-realist work I\'ve seen.
Nope, not a photograph, not even oils....it was done with acrylics. He seems to alternate between photo-realistic and merely semi-realistic.Originally posted by vincegamer

I\'m not religious, but the painting is very evocative and spiritual to me...

Dali and Giger kind of go hand in hand with the gaming/painting lot... much like witch craft (see other thread!). Both artists are quite tedious, especially Dali who\'s become the pin up of every squat and middle class wannabe living room.

... Saint who?
(EDIT - it\'s Saint Eulalia. Tortured to death in the Forum in 304 AD, FYI for those with a hagiographic bent...)
I really liked his work on the Alfred Hitchcock film \"Spellbound\"Originally posted by nosferatuI\'m not a big Dali fan (my wife likes his stuff),

A lot of Gleeson\'s stuff is a little derivative of Dali\'s, but he has done a few cracking pieces. I like this one....

I\'ll try and scan in a couple of my favourites from the exhibition catalogue, but the pics don\'t really do them justice.
