Thanks for the comments, everybody! :D
cfwheeler58, thanks for that, I should've mentioned.
And Milosh, you totally should, it's of fantastic quality and didn't require a lot of cleanup. Not sure how the hell I'm gonna attach her little lantern, though. The rope is so tiinnyyyy

Some progress was had! Not much, unfortunately. I got distracted by those durn video games and didn't paint near as much as I meant to over the break.
Sorry for cluttered pictures, we moved the painting space around a bit. Got some more colors in place and started doing freehand on her obi-thing.

beautiful man that is epic, just epic the eyes are great and the green scarf makes it pop so well. Are you going to push the dark green darker?

I agree with everyone else here, very good work. Looking forward too an update. btw video games is to dangerous it is sometimes too easy to start that up instead of griping one brush :)

Keep up the good work.

Just gonna pretend like I was never gone...

Picked up Malifaux's "Hired Swords" box last Gencon (!) and haven't touched 'em since. Started with Viktoria of Ashes. Still very in progress. These models are really, really pretty, even though I funked up some of the connection points cutting the bits from the sprue...

(The Dryad is not finished, no. I basically haven't painted anything since the last time I posted on here. Hoping to change that.)

Yeah anything you post is a treat so, no pressure. I really like the muted tones you've used on her. Very post apoc :)

Its impossible to NOT funk up the connection points on the hired swords. Really, they are a pain in the ass. Bust out the greenstuff. Also, how big are yours? Bigger/smaller than GW? Please keep the pics coming. Have a look at my WIP if you wanna see my version of a ronin. Ciao.

And now for something completely different!

Taking a swing at sculpting. It's still pretty rough--I mean, girl doesn't even have an ear yet--but it's fun. P sure the hair's gonna drive me bonkers, though.

Been working on the Hired Swords, buuuut pictures will have to wait 'til the next bit of natural light.

BloodFather of Kharnath, my recentish Malifaux models seem to be a good bit taller than regular old dude-sized GW models (but the model I have to compare it to is pretty old, I think), although my Viktoria of Blood is definitely on a smaller scale than Ashes. I missed the whole recall thing, but eh. I still like 'em.
