Sisters of Battle with Multi Melta

I just finished off another mini which I entered into the GT tourney! I\'m quite pleased with the way the face and the hair came out but not so happy with the gun... I tried to use blues similar to those used on the mini to tie it all together.

Anyone have any advice for highlighting black \'metal\' items?

Any other feedback is welcome - I really feel like I\'m improving lately since I\'ve only been painting maybe 3/4 months now!

im not to keen on the flock maybe add some differant colours in there

yep I hate the flock too - I\'m not gonna use it from now on... looks far too \'fake\'.

Might apply some pva to make it hard and paint it again see how it looks

A slight wash of dark brown or grey should mute the green a bit.

Me too, in fact I\'m gonna start collecting a full Witch Hunters army - I dunno what it is but there\'s nothing quite like vixens with my big ass guns. I love the art work in the their codex too.. very sassy.

Nice job. As for black metal: if you really want an item to look like a metallic black, you could look at the color Adamantium Black from Reaper\'s Master Series Paint line, which is just that: a metallic black paint. Also, if you want to convey the sense of metal in the black through supposed shinyness, the highlights should go up to pure white for that (and if you do use the Adamantium Black, they also have Pearl White, a metallic white, which can be handy in the highlighting).
