Six Nations away!

To those who are at all involved or have a concern in the Six Nations, to you I say:

Let the silliness commence!

I had a quiet one yesterday watching Itay v France and England v Scotland on the sofa rather than in the local. Italy were shite and France steady. Couldn\'t tell much from the match at all in fairness, but the score was a good one for playing in Rome. England looked composed against Scotland and it was good to see Jonny back and fit. A class act. But once again, Scotland were poor. No cutting edge, no power in their pack. England did a good job on them mind. All in all quite a slow match.

Today is my day. A steak dinner in the house and then the local for 2pm. There\'s a marquee out the back, so when the rugby is done and dusted we can all watch a band. I hope we win because the Irish bug the tits off me. Not generally, just in rugby terms. We\'ve lost 3 or 4 really tidy players and we\'ll do extremely well to win. Irish weaknesses are in the front row so we\'ve chosen a fat pack. I hope it works or else we\'ll look very silly.

Enjoy the rugby one and all!

:drunk:

The scoreline didn\'t tell the whole story in the England/Scotland Game though, one try from a mistake and another that shouldn\'t have been. Still, England were always the better side.

Not a huge Rugby fan, but going to enjoy watching Ireland all the same, and hope we continue bugging the tits off you! ;)

Scotland\'s first try came from an infringement too... what goes around etc... England were by far the better team.

Bloody good match yesterday. Can\'t help but feel a penalty try was in the offing for Wales, but the early tackle went unpunished. We played some excellent stuff without an end result. Too many key injuries in the backs. The two teams were as fit as monkeys though. Can\'t believe the tempo was kept up for 80mins pretty much. Crazy.

Wales are chasing the wooden spoon again lol

Aye, twas a great game to watch. I was rooting for your boys. As Ireland are overwhelming favourites, I thought it would have been good for the tourney had Wales done a number on them.
If you\'d had your wingers fit then I think you\'d have romped away during that 20mins at the start of the second half (and yes, the tackle off the ball was a penalty at the very least).

Pleased with England\'s performance. Yes it wasn\'t vintage but after the tripe we\'ve been served up over the last 2 years you\'ll take owt.

Glad Farrell had a solid game (I\'m a league man at heart) but mostly pleased with Wilko\'s performance. He\'s great for the game as a whole and his humility goes someway to appeasing and showing the rest of the Home Nations that we aren\'t all arrogant xenophobes!

Too true about Wilko. The whole rugby world will sit up and pay attention if he strings together a few performances before the world cup. A true legend of the game.

watched it all in edinburgh on a stag w/e. was good. the quality of rugby for the ire/wales game was better than the eng/scot game. although i am happy with the result, i thought the only good play came (as ever) from jonny. that try should never have been allowed though and don\'t get me started on the penalty try that wales should have had

Gotta disagree.... Ellis and Farrell were both outstanding too... especially Ellis.

ok i was a little harsh there. the only outstanding play was from jonny. the passing sucked generally as much as the welsh tackling
