Wales did it again :D

I\'m affraid I can\'t claim to have watched all the match as I spent the day at GW HQ in a Warmaster tournament but as I walked through Bugmans during the 2nd half it was 17 - 12 to Wales then a bit later it was 17 - 15 and 15 minutes to go, I though oh dear will they fall to a Scots come back as by all acounts it was a fantasticily hard game up to that point.

Now having got home and listened to the news I see Wales pulled off another last 15 minutes attack for a further two trys, even if the one was a bit iffy the video ref said yes so it counts :D

Unlucky Scotland in what was by all accounts a fantastic game and Wales are now level in points with France :D

I though Ireland were dead and buried when I saw the score line but they made a come back worthy of themselves and were very unlucky.

All We can hope for now is that Italy or England beat the French :D :D

All is this winning all is me confusing. Wibble. Which way to the psychiatrist\'s couch?

We gave points away again, but 3 tries to nil isn\'t to be sniffed at. We need to consolidate now and try to put one on Italy who - year on year - are improving. We\'ve lost to them twice in recent years and we need to be very careful. If we get through that match with a win (their pack scares me) then we can look to play Ireland over in Dubbers with some confidence. It\'ll be hard as hell though.

What are England playing at, they were so lucky in that 2nd half???

That is two games now where they seem to have just given up in the 2nd half. The English pack were trampled again and if Italy could have sorted out their line out work it would have been another different storey.

In the RWC England didn\'t play fluidly but they did eventually play with some grit and the pack bulldozed their way through. They don\'t even have that at the moment.

Wales have just announced their team for the game against Italy in 11 days time...a bit early I think but then I am not a selector so its not my call :D

6 changes named.
Roberts has been dropped and Jones is back in.
Hook is on the subs list
And there is a complete new front row.

I can understand the front row change to an extent because Italy have always enjoyed scrums and have a very good front row as was shown on Sunday in the 2nd half when they won possession 75% of the time but are we making to many changes in one go???

And given Jones\' performance for Wales against England the other week is it a mistake to bring him back for this match???

Warren Gatland is one of those guys who you can\'t stand if he\'s not your coach but love to bits if he is (Alex Ferguson anyone?).
I think he\'s a master psychologist / tactician. Not only does he play mindgames with his opponents but he keeps his players on their toes. The Welsh players know that no one\'s place is secure. Stephen Jones knows how well he\'s going to have to perform to keep his slot now and James Hook will be champing at the bit to show what he can do.

I expected changes, but sheesh, that\'s a brave effort! You can see the thinking though - a big front row to deal with the initial battering we\'ll no doubt get and then bring on some more moble lads later. Saying that, Gethin can go for 80mins anyway. I think Gats is looking for pace to turn the Italians, hence Jones. Time will tell. It\'s very interesting and I echo Logan\'s points...

Well I\'ll beat Rev to the punch (who\'s probably still dancing in the streets of Wales) and say what a day. I nearly posted earlier to say \"Well done\" (through gritted teeth lol) to Wales and say how I expected the French to paste us, but whoa, England were immense in the second half.
An enjoyable evening beckons :drunk:

Congratulations or commiserations (whichever apply)

ps - I was right about Stephen Jones...

I was totally confused. I couldn\'t remember my own name. England won? They played well in the second half? Nope, something just didn\'t add up. But it\'s true!

Aye, Jones played well. Still not sure how good we are yet though. Ireland is a massive test. England did a proper number on France. Fully deserved the win. I can see France improving though. Lievremont is a brave coach. He just has to stop tinkering *quite* so much...

Scotland are going to get the wooden spoon methinks...

Apparently it is true. They even played well in the second half. I was beginning to think they were thinking the game lasted 40 minutes and then another 40 minutes of a leisurly stroll in the park.

Welsh team to Play Ireland on Saturday has been announced...

4 changes in total from the side that beat Italy.

#10 shirt is held onto by Jones so no change there, the changes though are at Scrum Half the Tight Head Prop and Hooker and the 2nd Row that got injured against Italy is the other change.

Ireland has always been a tough game for Wales and more so when it is over in Dublin so I think there will be a lot of people glued to the box come Saturday :D
