Such a simple miniature and So well done.
If that\'s just a loosener, or warm up mini I\'m looking forward to a really complex piece from you once again.

That is superb.

Am I right in thinking it\'s one of the Galactic Heroes line? If so do you have any more repaints planned and how well did the mini clean up?

Cheers all!

Yep, it\'s a Galactic Heroes fig. It\'s about 30mm tall I guess and made out of vinyl. The mould lines clean up reasonably well with some fine wet and dry.

As for where you can get them from, they\'re pretty ubiquitous over here. Toys R Us? Ebay at a push. This is from a Clone Wars release and they seem less popular than the releases from the original trilogy which are now OOP. I\'m after the pack with the Jawa and Tusken Raider, but it goes for a packet on Ebay now :(

Also got a Chewie, a Threepio (too nice to repaint though...) and a camo Clone Scout that I\'m going to repaint in classic colours :)

Aye, lovely piece.
Reminds me of some figure you did a while ago which i think was a Teen Titans one. Before you\'d done that, it never occurred to me to paint vinyl toys,
Agree with Donga, Eyes are great.

Wish I loosened up like that. /grumble

I also like the eyes. They really look very alive.

I read a magazine a while back that had an article on painting eyes using double highlights. An upper highlight like the one you have and another smaller highlight as the base of the pupil. The lower one represents the internal reflection of the light passing through the eye.

... or something like that.

Anyway, it\'s a pretty cool effect. I tried it on a couple Rackham models (they tend to have large-ish eyes so it was easy to test it out) and loved the effect.

Love your little guy, I do. Say that to other men rarely, do I!
