Hi all

Thought you might like to see what I\'ve been carving away at for the last few weeks.

It\'s a figure for John Blanche\'s new range of figures that will be distributed by Games Workshop (via the Black Library I think).

40mm scale and I really enjoyed working on it (especially the Bear).

Anyway, vote, comment etc... here

I really really like this serie so far. Bordering on insanity, bordering on being unsettling, definately being art. I will without doubt by them if I have the money. The pins through her cheek are disturbingly big. which might or might not be a good thing, I haven\'t decided yet.

Well done! Not an easy thing to carry through but you did an impressive job on her. I LOVE the Teddy. makes me think of A.I. which I pretty much liked only because of the bear.

On my wish-list.

Steve I love it, I have always been a fan of Jon Blanche\'s artwork, this mini is great and I would love to know when it will be released as I would love to have a go at painting one.

Very cool Steve. I love the circular saw blade bra. And the legs are perfect.

As I am not that familure with his art work, I will have to go look for it. :D

WOW! Sign me up for a paintjob.
Hmm, better ask someone else about that really...

This sculpt is a great interpretation of John\'s art and I think that you have managed to stay true to both John\'s style as well as your own. Well done.

Great sculpt Steve! I wondered who was going to get the one with the Teddy Bear!

I have seen 4 of this series now & wonder when the Black Library are going to get their act together & get them released?

Based on the scale will this be an Inquisitor model? Will there be rules etc. released, or at least some background. Something that twisted needs a good story to go with it.

Blanche is one of the greatest assets GW has. They should make more use of his skills, especially if the results are going to turn out like this ;)

Top stuff.

john blanche\'s art is messy, dark, totally weird and very gothic. you have done a fab job of bringing it to life - i hope you get the chance to do more of them. can\'t wait to get my hands on them!

personally i don\'t like blanche stuff at all, more a fan of Smith style, but this is a very good mini. 9.2 for me (10 for sculpting it -0.8 for the subject)

Nice one Steve, this is my favourite of the Femme Militant stuff I have seen so far.

Own up though, you must have given the bear a name when you sculpted it. You can tell us :D

I have referred to it all the way through as \'The Bear\'.

That said it may be a reference to the TV show Spaced where the central character Tim Bisley has invented a comic character called just that.

Or maybe not...

Maybe you can name him \"Baron\" after the famous haunted bear from eBay fame ;)

I really like the female except for the knittng needles through her face. Eek, they make me shudder, I can\'t even look at those for very long....brrrrrr....

:D

Any news as to a release of this range Steve? I think the concepts have been doing the rounds for a couple of years now (I seem to remember some promotional stuff about it at the games day before last). GW release or independant?

We wants to paint them we does
