They are pre sculpted as a base, and come with the figures which they both fit onto snuggly.

Cheers every one for the comments, il not be doing any more work on this one as it has been varnished and im not keen on redoing jobs once they are finished, better to learn then move on and improve.

Fair enough cast your vote, and give your opinion on why you made that vote, but don\'t judge the votes of others.

But don\'t start preaching that everybody who has given a 7 has voted higher than it should be.

no, not preaching, just showing another model with a 7, and yes, I do question their voting, wheater I should or not, as, well, the night gobbo boss, looks better

Personally i don\'t think other people\'s votes should be questioned, this is infact a voting site which works by using averages, so your 5 will have an effect as will 7\'s and even 8\'s (and yes Ian has left an 8, this must really annoy you, its a whole 3, YES 3, points above your score)

And plus if everybody on this site voted as to how you did, it might as well be called www.doeshygmerthinkitsacoolminiornot.com

People\'s votes are thier own opinion and i think they should not be challanged by other users.

Have you looked at other mini\'s with 5\'s as you have with the 7\'s? Is mine comparable to thier standards?

No, it doesnt, really, no, but it should bother you, i could never be proud of a model whose score was given by my friends, an 8, seriously, I would be insulted if someone gave that score to a model which is TT or maybe TT+, I dont see how you can be proud about it, I would be mad, as, obviously, someone votes a high score for you cause he/she likes you, not because he looooves the model, and if he does think it deserves an 8, then dude, he have some darn low standards.

And yes, it sure is mate, I could find a lot of good points to compare with

Why would i be insulted? Its a vote, an opinion, yours was TT, his was high TT, almost display. It\'l all average out in the end.

Now if someone give it a ten (which it clearly aint) or a one, that would be insulting.

Well, I won\'t, not on this site, as much as there is pal-voting, there is downvoting and snipind, now I ain\'t gonna put up pics on my models as I just don\'t wanna go through this \"awww, its Hygmer, pop, a 1, and another, and another\", now, the idea of CMON is great, but the forum was a blow-off, ppl become friends and enemies and start voting thereafter, friendly folks get good score, those you dont like, get low scores, Ive been hanging around here for about a year, and I know this, Ive seen this, thats why I wont post pics, simply, I cant get an open-minded judgement, so istead, I attend to painting comps

You have been here a year, you have seen the critique that people receive in the forums, you know that the site system is made to remove votes that are unusually high or low, yet you think the judgment of a painting comp, which is the opinion of a few people, is more useful. That\'s complete and utter nonsense!

Still, it\'s only you who is loosing out in the end isn\'t it? You keep entering painting comps and getting sweet f a when it comes to feedback. People here can keep improving due to the feedback and comments, which is what really matters.

And Matty, it\'s a pretty good job, but could do with more levels of highlights and shading to make it pop. A bit too much static grass on the base for my tastes. Some ground showing through would be good. Kudos for managing to stick the bloody thing together in the first place! It\'s good tabletop quality for me, so I gave it a 10 ;)

CMON would be even better if the avatars of members who had never posted a mini could be flagged with some icon, perhaps a small grain of salt, or a bag of hot air... then we could all know how to interpret their comments more efficiently.

Easy tiger, not everyone who comments but has no minis in their gallery is here to blow out hot air. I like to think I offer pretty good constructive criticism when I comment on minis for example, and I\'ve submitted sod all. Even Hygmer, when he hasn\'t rolled out of the wrong side of bed in the morning, has made useful comments about people\'s miniatures if I remember correctly.

i too have never posted amini,(large photography learning curve) i would be lucky if any of mine made it to 5 on this site, but i have learned alot from lurking here... sorry just trying to be funny before--probably too caustic.
oh that is a great conversion hygmar,
love the base..i have a phobia of greenstuff so i would probably score higher for any scrathbuilt/sculpting.
Is it proper to give higher scores based on the amount of work conversions-or how cool it is as well as the painting skills.

Indeed! Best thing is just to score it as you see it. If you think something deserves more due to conversion work, then give more. Most voting is very subjective and across a large number of people, all with different criteria so the scoring will never be as consistent as submitting work to a regular panel of judges for instance. It does, however, work pretty well in my opinion and minis tend to accurately find their correct mark in time.

Yeah, when I first started living at CMON (I swear I spend more time here than in my \"real home\") I searched the forums for how people scale their votes. I\'m fairly happy that I\'m being fair in my own mind when I vote otherwise thats over 11,000 wasted clicks. The site\'s called COOLminiornot so coolness definitely plays a part - a lot of the higher scores are all about impact.

Incidently, and heading back towards the original topic ;) I went and bought a copy of this today as my \"souvenir from Krakow\". Hopefully I\'ll get around to painting it sometime this year and I expect honest votes from everyone... just remember I gave you a 7 Matty :innocent:lol

lol, i will do! Just start painting it when you get back, its a mini that i completely enjoyed painting start to finish!

Cheers for the 10 iono ;)lol

ABout the voting - exactly what i was saying, its based on averages so if somebody thinks this is a fantastic and gives it high it will only have a small dent on the overall average.
