I think a specific banner is not so good seeing as how it\'s limiting and maybe a bit of a giveaway to an opponent. Gameswise.
Anyhow.
Is the banner in the clanrats not to taste?
I\'d just use a plastic clanrat spearman.
Use 3 spears to make the pole and crosspiece....
The one you get with the arm, chop the end off. The spear with no arm, chop the end off that. Glue a skaven skull on the top.
Butt-join your two spears.
Cut some thin plasticard and wrap around join ( once set ). Glue some spikes or whatever on this for detailing....
Or cover t he join some other way.
You need a cross piece.
That\'s another spear with the end chopped off.
Cut a little bit out both where they\'ll cross and glue.
Get some thick thread and wrap round a couple of times, superglue.
You can also have threads from the ends of this the cross-piece to the top.
Photocopy one of the blank standards to scale, hand paint it in. Scaning would be better, use a manipulation suite to give a mirror image for the reverse or trace. The back is less noticeable.
Cut the standard out.
Paint the edges.
Wrap the top around a piece of plastic rod or trimmed matchstick and glue.
Glue thread around crosspiece and to banner to represent attachments for this. You could alternatively pierce the thing and actually have it hanging \"loose\".
Best to put a bit of a curve into the paper so it looks like the thing is billowing.
