thanks cheelfy, tee....
here's the rest of the photos. things that comes to mind is to remove that chaos star at the chest, not pleased with that one, although the blue colour is way more obvious in the pictures than in real life. also, some of the metallic parts need more work.

Not a fan of the model or brand but it feels unfair not to comment on such a lovely paintjob ;) Sheild, hammer & horns are standout. The tattoos are good but I'm starting to feel they could do with just a touch of mottling with some darker blue/green to vary the strength a bit & increase the impression of a fade over time.

Keep up the quality work that man!

Cheers, B.

love the tribal tat's real attention to detail there, up there with your usual high standard.

gotta say i love all the strange colours you get into your skintones and the tats look really solid. also not a big fan of the model but the paintjob is very cool. Loved your other minotaur also :)

well, this mini is obviously not for everyone, but i totally 100% dig it! guess i have a soft spot for minotaurs :)
removed the chaos star today, much better without it.

got this photo from Grinch, TY! guess is as good as it gets with these poor photos. have to do something about the lights for sure!

Awesome:) Buut I must say that that blue background does >Nooot work for that mini. And you know it's bad when I react on color choices;D

Great work as usual keep it up!

Definetly a dark background is what to go for with this. Perhaps a printed background would be better than a photoshopped in version as it wont be too garish.

D.H. - the oil monster

cheers guys, the minotaur is finished and pics are commin up, when i feel i have the energy to wrestle the mighty photo-god that is. im going to use a black BG to it, i agree that suits the paintjob better.

so, next project finally started, just finished the basic groundworks, mostly done with clay. i apologize image quality they are taken with my cellphone (which i obviously not made for mini-photographing) batteries are out in my ordinary cam but ill try to get better ones soon.

It is going to be a real challenge with water effect at this project, the tyranid Trygon will be covered up to where the first pair of arms begin, something like that.
IMAGE_00048.jpg

im going to paint the whole tyranid with TMM, i think. also heavliy weathered at some areas.

...now i only need to get rid of this hateful fever thats been makin my life a blast for a few days... :messed:

I've been looking forward to this oil project, I'm glad to see it's underway :good:

I'd like to see some acknowlegement of the shape of the plinth in the diorama base though. Either switch to an oblong, or trim in the corners (which will make water effect pouring a nightmare of course). I'd be interested to hear from others how it sits with their eye though. Is it just me? :)

Will there be any creatures/objects suspended within the water or oily birds on the surface or is it just the big monster for lifeforms?

Get well soon!

Cheers, B.

nice input B :good: i know what you mean about the plinth, but to reshape the dio would indeed make it a living hell with the water. this was the best solution i could find...
not a bad idea to have some ducks upside down at the water surface, or something like that :) ill see what i can find!

That sounds like something that's gonna turn out really good.
I second BPI's idea to put some creatures on the water, that guy would look really cool with some ducks swimming around.

Cool, looks like the minotaur turned out nice. Like the start on the Tyranid's base. How about some fish floating belly up for the water?

Oh my god! You never stop amazing me Skelet. I particulary love the hammerhead. I think the snowy base looks perfect with him, not overdone.
The least part I like is the face. I don't exactly know what it is I don't like, it seems like it's not shaded as well as the rest of his body or atleast a bit to plain.
But wow.. that's yet another 10 from me for your mini's
