"mmm...okaaay"... just mimic the VD from the american company that recently bought the company im working at. cool texas guy that ended every sentence that way :)
anyway, first images of the paintjob! wanted to make something different than usually so it became a pattern of veins all over the skin. im soooo happy the other arm is a robotic one as this took ages to get decent. ended up looking pretty unhealthy anyway. it really is a hard mini to paint!
oh, and that smudge ting on the red can is masking fluid, i wasnt able to finish that detail yesterday because of the little monster at home.

anyway, on with da pikks

Bah! That's some disgusting skin. Sickly and diseased, ridden with fungus and parasites. Any soap would be a waste to that guy... Good job!

Hey Stef, ya old painter,

is the skin glossy, or just another trap by your camera? Maybe something you could think about. Would suit well to this berserker.

Anyway, excellent work so far!

hey thanks folks, isnt he got some sexxy skin?? :D

Some ink is used at the darkest parts, thats why he is a little glossy. its a little bit enhanched by the camera though.

Really liking the flesh Skel, seems like you've pushed yourself to a new level there! Get him done quick to enter as a single at GD? Your Skaven squad is your only other entry, yes? Or do you have sneaky stuff hidden away from us all? :D

Cheers, B.

Of course, the orcs, I was thinking that they & the skaven were both squads but of course one's fantasy & the other 40K I now realise! Excellent!

Cheers, B.

AWSOME!!!!! I love the dark contrasts you put into your work. How did you come up with the skin colors for this?

thanks folks, feedback really make the whole project funnier :good:

much of the skin is like all my works alot improvisation (...or by accident lol). i believe i used ½ VMC russian uniform + ½ white for basecoat, but i believe catachan green instead uf russian uniform would look very similar. then i painted all the veins using scab red, lich purple and black. then shading with as usual lot of colours; red purple, scorched brown, dark red and at the deepest parts w&n blue-black ink. highligt is rotten flesh and white. hope that helps :)

Great skin, looks very sick! :)
Awesome new project, love this miniatures.
But I am not sure about the color for the hood. I would have choosen a brighter color for the hood, maybe some dirty leather tone?
If you would give it a brighter color you:
1. Get the focus to the head (if it stays the biggest, brightes area on the miniature)
2. You get a better separation to the skin, which then also stands out
No offence, just my 2 cents. :)

Best regards
Jürgen

Craki! =) Nice to see that you re alive. Heard you ve given some nice hints to Stef.

I wouldn`t use a brighetr color for the skin since he`s lifting up the imperial guardsman with his right arm in front of his face. So the focus should be the "guardsman`s arm".

Another 9er my friend ;)

of course i take no offence, its great to hear what you have to say about it (thats the point with wip after all!)
unfortunately im pretty happy with the dark hood ;) and it is rather heavily blended so i hope it still going to be the focal point when its all done.

@Sleipnir
I think you got me wrong, I suggested to take a brighter tone for the HOOD, not the SKIN! ;)

@SkelettetS
Well it was just a suggestion. ;) An other possibility you have is, to get the focus on the imperial soldier he has on his arm OR you could try to give this beast some glowy eyes with some nice OSL. :)
