Good start, Skel! I haven't started yet, but my supplies arrived yesterday, so I should be able to get started in the next couple of days.

Lovely start there :) I really like the brightness of the head compared to the rest of him. Looking forward to see how he darkens up as you proceed :)

Wow, the flesh tones are fantastic. Its really interesting to see these pics, as they have made me consider painting from a white undercoat for the first time. Cracking job, i will be following your progress with interest

Stop being so quick!! :curse!: But it does look marvellous! I wish I get the chance to see it in real life eventually.

My rhino is at least fully assembled, puttied and sanded. Ready for primer. I've caught a rather annoying cold, so haven't really been in shape to paint, but I hope to start this week (I bloody well NEED to, if I should have any chance of finishing in time). Seeing your progress is inspiring.

Loving the variation in skin tone. That, and your usual superb placement of light and shade is really selling this mini to me. I feel a 10 coming on...

Actually, now I really have this urge to paint something with skin...(most everything I do is eldar of some kind, or cryx. Not a lot of skin tones going on, usually.)

Lovely work Skel. I really dig your ability to progress from very dark to very light. I've tried this on some of my models but I seem to run out of room in which to make the transistions! Practice I am sure makes perfect but you have a really good eye sir! Keep painting ;-)

Cheers

Looking awesome as usual Skel. I love the amount of variation in your skin tones and really admire the way you blend it all seamlessly.

That is quite the juxtaposition. Here you have this huge and menacing rhino painted in a very dark and brooding fashion yet the pupil of his eye is so big and puppy dog-like that I cannot decide if I should run in terror or take him home to cuddle. I know that that is how rhino eyes look, and I am not criticizing, I guess I am just saying he looks menacing in a charming way. Love the paint job so far :)

Excellent, love the whip marks on his back - if I was to paint them they would just look like red lines painted on :)
