Its a cool poem, just sorry I couldnt think of something cool for you! I have just finished another one yesterday, bit too dark for here though. Currently doing a Snow White one with a twist. May take a while though. UK GD approaches Skels, looking forward to seeing some very cool stuff!!!!!!

heya Skel :) sadly, no GDJ for me. Ironically I'm going to be back in Scotland while the GDJ is going on. Given the speed I paint at, it's probably for the best. If I start now, I might just get a mini finished in time for next year's event :p It'll be interesting to see what kind of level the Japanese contest is at, actually. I'm away out in the countryside where I am, so I have no idea about the larger nationwide level of interest in the hobby is, or the painting ability of folks around here. I'd imagine the vehicle and larger scale categories would be pretty strong, given the amount of mecha painting that goes on in this country.

Good luck with your own GD entries, and here's hoping you bring home a coupla daemons :)

got myself together and finally finished (almost, just a sign and some watereffect lest) this guy too. but to be honest, im not all in here with end result, but im happy to have finished him decent at least. Not sure about GW rules about large scale basing, i flipped and glued the whole deal to a plinth. looked a lot better =)

I'm perpetually in awe of your base work. Composition is always spot on, and there are always tons of wee bits and bobs to look at, without it being cluttered. *doffs cap in Skel's direction*

Skell,
These are freaking fantastic! It seems to me that you are constantly creating these awesome peices of art as though you have a list of what is next and how you'll be doing it. Whatever your process is, keep it up. They are splendid.

Stay Frosty

really liking the bases! the osl effect on the 54mm fig doesnt really seem to fit with the lamp colourwise, could be the pic, but i´m getting a purplish feeling? looking forward to seing these irl=)

what's not to like about the quovandius? He's dark n moody, highlights are pingy, base is rocking. Seems all good to me, but hey, if you're wanting rid of him, I have a warm and comfortable home I'm sure he'd be happy in :p
