ischa, as i just won a black reach box ill be having enough space marines to the end of days. you want some?
updates slowly but steady, begun with the nmm of the other leg and started out the chrome details. not finished yet though. more light in next picture update...promise!

got some updates, most of the "sky" areas are now painted, i even manage to get some step-by-step shots (probably post later...), even if my cam constantly want to focus on the wrong stuff ;( ive been rethinking the freehand, probably just going to paint a skull with a U around. not the most innovative, i know. but im starting to get bored of the model (and eager to start my next regiment/squad project) anyway pictures! the feet plates still miss edge highlight, and all the rivets are not painted yet so it might look a bit unfinished. time to rock on the "earth" areas now!

Dang Skel, you just keep going. I feel you on the bored thing. As much as I love this hellbrute, the itch is getting strong to start something else. Must perservere!
A thought crossed my mind.. one of the philosophical kind. If spending too much time on one mini makes one grow bored with it, which I'm sure everyone have felt at some point, why not just block out a few base colours and dip EVERYTHING!

Well actually I am currently painting some Chaos Marines, some nurgle ones. will bring them down to Göteborg.

Yes of course. Dipping is imo a great thing if you need to churn out a whole army at table top standard in a short time. A full time employed friend managed to slap together a 40k orc army in about two months and they look awesome.
But a lot of people don't play with the minis they paint and so art comes into play. Most of my relatives and friends of my family are artists in one form or the other (sculpture, painting and so on) or have studied at some art school (Valand..) so I'm sort of infused with a great respect for artistry.
And.. work is looking great here. Absolutely fantastic.

well legs just about finished (thank god). actually they are based atm. this is a shot almost right before. had some issues, for example the horizont on the groin plate has to be adjusted a bit, as i didnt realize it tilts a bit. and the last shoe needs paint. shouldnt take too much time though, hopefully i can post the finished n' based legs in a few days.
now, only 2 arms left gaaaaaaah. this is going to drive me insane!

This is going to be one of my favourites of your lot in fact one of my favourite minis full stop! Going to have to try a bit of SENMM you have inspired me
I felt the same way, until I thought about it a bit and realized I would have no idea where to start. So I went with red instead.
