heh yeah, i have to reload my bio-warfare this october. you coming to wh fest mike? ;)

some updates then, business as usual. i have finished my regiment thank god, below another infamous shit image of my work, lol. you folks have to view it like a teaser instead. can be viewed at hussar and/or ukgd...! very happy these are DONE. not going to paint another regiment for a long time...

decided to keep the wooden sockel insted of painting it black, i think it work fine here. just a small sign in front is missing, just going to do a printout there though.

So... time to finish that bloody deamon ive been working on a few months ago. although i might bring it to gd its most for the hussar competiton, i expect it to be too much converted for gd. anyway, first images of the basework...

oh and for last... going to paint a space marine for a 40k single entry. yep! an emperors children, one of the guys with blades. been fixing with some seriously small etched brass on a shoulder pad, enough to drive anyone nuts...lol

Good to see you back on here, brother! Even better to get some updates of your work. As you know, I favored that beautiful socket to be left as it is, so I'm happy to see it like that. Good pick for a regiment, and even better paint job. I especially like the gold sword of the Champion. I think I'll be trying out some TMM in the near future. Just to see if I can pull it off. Is that another milliput banner, or something else? Looks a bit cleaner than normal.

That new base is incredible. Is that plaster you used to give it height? Very talented.

well, its nice to be back! well sort of... id prefer some more days off work though heh...

thanks!
the banner is original from the box, so no milliputting here. and the bulk of that base is made of just cork, covered in modelling paste now.

At last I was getting all antsy! Glad you kept the base it's natural colour looks great. The regiment is lovely and the freehand is spot on as ever. So you bought a new computer then?

Yay, pictures!

The regiment turned out great. Another fantastic bit of freehand on the banner.

For the daemon prince, I really like the shape you've created for the base. The pipes are a nice addition too.

Well Skell another BANGARANG banner. I honestly can not understand how you do them so well. There is practice sure, but the other part..... the entire regiment looks great. Now if only I could learn to do banners like you, sadly I struggle with the simple straight lines of the horned rat symbol....

Whoa! Great post Skellettets! Looking forward to seeing the demon get finished. And the unit is really cool, kinda scary looking. Very Gothic, Bearded Gothic maybe. Also love the brass etch...all good stuff! I have some brass etch jungle leaves but they sure look finicky. I am kind of scared to use them. how delicate is that shoulder pad?

cheers friends
here is another shot of the banner, almost finished.

@BoK; yep modelling paste, i actually bought it on Netto for about 2euro ($3). good stuff for base-base work ;) think there exsist lots of different brands though, guess this is the cheapest possible

added some real dirt (dirk/sand + water + wooden glue) to the basework, now it looks like this

oh and the pads..

they'll break if you look at them long enough though! ;) fragile!
