ty! the base is pretty big; a demon is supposed to be on top there u know.
the building is really nothing advanced. its built up by layers of cork, covered in natural dirt and modelling paste. some texture is made by dremel milliput.

Ah that's right. I forgot. We had the discussion about the paste. I'm sure a lot of things could be substituted for the paste. Like milliput, though this would be the expensive way. But I guess it so damn impressive because of how you painted it. It truly is an incredible base. Possibly up there with my all time fav. Kudos. What demon is going to be riding that thing?
Skel, sorry yes it is tainted, but I'm not sure by what. A poor cockney actor, or a poor London rapper?
Just to protect my ears I'm off to listen to some NIGHTWISH or WITHIN TEMPTATION followed by MELODY GARDOT then EDWINA HAYES.
Ii suggest you slap on some of your favourite music and paint away the painful memories of what we've done to your thread.

this! had to dig this thread really deep, but i believe this is the most recent picture. the other hand and bug-wings are also painted now. went completely stuck with just the base left so i took a break. turned out to be a long break...

Ha! Wierd sculpt but I can dig it. Great job of making him at home on that base. You tied the colors/textures together well.

I put all the blame for this thread tainting solely on Skell himself! :arrogant: There's not nearly enough pictures here, so people get distracted!
did is I actually see some photos? Lol. That base is going to look nice with the demon. Love watching your artwork develop.

Yay the horror of mocky londoners seems to have passed and we have photo's of beautifully painted minis I wondered what happened to the cyborg demon thingy. He's looking good dude really like the tones of the flesh and that big toady eye. Do you plan on including a thumb blade for the hand? It feels a little unbalanced at the moment something like the rancor's would look great
