..../original plan was to fill it with water but now i think ill just add a ladder down there/...
I think that you are right here, a ladder will add a lot more interest and 3D to the piece, than just "dirty sewer" water. You could work some water infiltrations on the wall anyway.
Thinking of an underground menace now.... ;)

So the only reason you're doing NMM is because its faster to paint! Poppycock! I think you're enjoying it :)

either way it's looking awesome dude. Loving the green of the armour and while I think a ladder will look great, surely there's a little room for some grimy water effect?

cheers friends

meaty, indeed this is scaly green from the batch you sent me, very appreciated.

finished the guy, but it has been anything but a pleasant experience due to 'half good' casting. think i stick more to gw plastics from now on.

First of all, sorry to hear about your family crisis, Stefan. I've gotten some vibes that indicated something wasn't right. I wish you strength in working through it.

About the nmm, please oh please don't let go completely of your tmm. While I definitely understand you want to save time every now and then, your metals are so crazy good no nmm can really compare.

Ive run out of superglue but ive got an old prit stick with fluff and sparkles all over it. That'll do im sure :)

Hahahahaha. I needed a laugh. Thanks.

Looks good to me skele :good:

I agree, whatever struggles you've had with this particular mini I think you've won. Perhaps it was the moral / ethical dilemma of painting a nmm space marine?

Seriously though, good luck and best wishes for anything else you are working through.

Since I don't want to encourage you to stray from tmm.....the head is awesome. :) I like the magenta/purple shadowing a lot. It gives a real brooding atmosphere to the mini.

haha glad to see those paints got a loving home.

as for the marine, outstanding work as usuaul. you really have outdone yourself on this guy skel, even if you had to do a lot of fix ups to get him to this level. be proud of that achievement man.

Happy thoughts and good vibes dispatched from my part if the world.

I also think you're being over critical of yourself - if you hadn't mentioned it I wouldn't have had any idea that this sculpt had been an issue. You've done great work.

I'm not crazy about that sculpt, but you've certainly done a beautiful job on it. The rusty tinge on the exposed metal just makes that blue-green blast off.

ok, finished this guy... for the fifth time i think! starting to feel somewhat satisfied with him now. painted the candles white, added some subtle green candle lights, new plaque, some other not visible changes ;)

Sweet, I love the finished Barrow Wight!
How did you do the candle lights - cotton wool? I'm considering doing something similar on my Plague bearer standard.

Great looking result on the wright. Love the piece! And yes, how did you do the candles? I was thinking of having candles on a piece and it would be great to do something similar for the flames

The SM looks great, the armor is very nice. It has a lot of shiny bits but still dirty, dingy and "grim dark". The wight is excellent as well, I love the freehand on the cloth, and the candles and flames look really cool.
