Aye, great start indeed. That's some pretty good shading all around. Looking forward to more!

The corset is not really painted so far, just added some edge highlights to give it a better look at this stage. Will paint it in a "better way" black again.

Thanks for your comments so far.

Well done so far. Her blue skintone is coming out great, and I like those yellow eyes and the shading you've achieved.

Looking forward to see her painted completely. I'm a bit curious how the red hair will look like in the end :)

Finally I have finished my Workshop-Daemonette which I began back in Januar. During this workshop I was able to pick up a lot of impressions and a new way of painting. More then thousand tutorials could ever have done... I came to the conclusion that nothing replaces the practical lessons together with other painters. The new learned techniques showed me how to get a better result in a shorter time then before. I am someone who´s not painting each day for hours, so this is something that`s very precious for me.

I know that the pictrues are a little bit too dark but the colors are formly glowing in this setting that I deceided to keep them like they are.

You are invited to vote for it right HERE.

All comments are welcomed!

My next project is the little Frodo from GW. So tiny that my camera is not able to take some decent pictues for you :(

Here`s my actual project - it`s Frodo from GW. I`ll paint him for the next Games Day in germany, so 8 months left. I should do this in time, hopefully. Let`s see if he`s standing proud beside all the fellowship.

A while ago there were 2 very nice tutorials about painting lavabases. You can find them here and here.

As I am limited to the small gamingbase he comes with I deceided to give him a lavabase to finally test one of those tutorials. I hope that the base is not stealing all the attention since the lava effect will be very strong. Let`s see if this is a task I could deal with. I am really sick of seeing wooden sceneries for the fellowship again and again - so I thought it`s a good way to break this part.

The base is done around 80% - to push the glowing lavaeffect I`ve added orange dayglow-pigments. Makes the base to a real eyecatcher. I`ll finish the base when the mini is done. This ensures to get more harmony between those 2 components.

Great work on that Daemonette. And the pictures are well done, too, almost able to taste that dark atmosphere...
Been & voted :)

voted and commented. I gave you a bonus boost on the actual vote because I think it is underrated and I'm feeling generous. It is certainly better than 6.8!

Thanks for your replies - and special thanks to good old dfb for +1 :) I don`t really care for te voting in the gallery, it`s just another numebr. What helps me more is a feedback liek the one dfb posted.

Work is going on soon and new pictures will be following.

Yeah I know the numbers dont matter at the end of the day, but still - fairness where it is due and I think this mini is more deserving than 6.8 as I said.

who`s Bilbo? I am painting FRODO!

Put him aside to paint some neat Freebooter`s Fate Goblins. Those are so lovely that I couldn`t resist their call.

Don`t worry - pictures will follow soon (maybe this weekend for the first progress). Can`t wait to hold my brushes in hand again! It`s so long ago :(

Jumping up and down, from left to right... another mini hit my table. It`s one of the Freebooter`s Fat Goblins out of the Starter box.

Some details missing (knop on the back for example) and I am also heading for a way stronger contarst up to the face.

Please let me know what you are thinking to improve my work on this little fellow:
