Slow??

Is it just me or is CMON terribly slow lately? At least at times I have to wait 20-30 seconds for a forum thread to load and I often get timeouts as well... Very annoying!!

Yep, i was just thinking that aswell, been like this a little while now, bout 2 days for me.

It works fine for a while, but then all of a sudden it\'s ultra slow for a while, then back to normal... it\'s been like that for quite a while now.

Could be bandwidth issues.
Sometimes the amount of images being loaded to the site could bottleneck the bandwidth.

Happens with an FTP data transfer site we use.

Maybe Chern has a little nob, which reads slow and fast, and he\'s been turning it

Sounds like bandwidth really considering the symptoms

All in all this site is leaps and bounds faster than it was just a couple years ago. I haven\'t experienced any recent slowdowns, so I\'m guessing it\'s network. There can be a lot of hops between \'here\' and \'there\' and if any one of them is slow then it will make your whole experience slower.

for those of us who have been here a while, it is much faster than it was.

but it\'s slower than it was 6 months ago as well.

same for me. its gotten worse at home and at work.. i noticed that it works for a while just fine and then slows down considerably or completely not at all.
