I agree with Scott. The weathering on this one is just right for the scale. I\'m not too fond of the painted-on scratches. The hammer looks very convincingly like worn metal particularly in the rear angle shot. When I looked at the coppery colors I could almost taste the metal. Great work.

Awesome paintjob, this is the best of the chapter master figures and your paintjob fits wel with the mood of the figure; I love the weathered appearence, noone sais SMs must look clean. The neck issue is true though, but otherwise it´s perfect.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the photo, I put it through its paces in Photoshop just to make my argument more compelling.

I\'ll put it this way though: The Marine is hanging off the front of an approximately 40mm plinth. The pillar is hanging off the back. The wire/twigs (you can\'t tell since it\'s out of focus in both shots) are way in the back of the base and probably an inch and a half away from the optimum focus of the picture. I have no idea what the problem is here.

The back foot looks slightly out of focus, but it looks a bit less blurred than the blur on the backpack. Is that what you\'re referring to?

I really like the way you have approached painting this mini. While each has it\'s own merits I have never understood how someone can spend their life fighting and in battle and have spiffy clean armour. Sure they may very well clean and repair it but after a few hundred years of battle it aint gonna look so crash hot anymore.
NIce colour scheme too.
