Snigrit the Goblin

I haven't been posting a lot lately but I have actually been painting a lot. Painted this one last night and snapped some quick shots of it (forgot and shot with auto WB so the colours are very slightly off).

A lovely Kev Adams(?) goblin sculpt, I'll have to see if I can dig up some more of them.

Votes and comments welcome!

Thanks! Yeah, it only took a couple of hours. It's nice to do a mini in one sitting once in a while.

I'm glad to see you are still painting, now we just gotta convince you to post more...

The look on that little fellers eyes are perfect. THe freehand is quite nice as well.

Thanks all!

@10 ball: Once that was true of me as well. I think one thing I've become over the years is more effective. So I actually put the brush to the mini and don't sit and look as much on the mini as I used to! :)

@Vike: Yeah I have quite a few a minis to photograph and put here. Much of it is of the marines army though.

Thanks!

Forgot to mention that the cobblestone base is from Ground Forge originally. Just sculpted the pouch and coins (several years ago actually... just found the mini ready to be primed yesterday).

That's lush. Lovely subtle tints to the knuckles and nose. Great depth to the red, and the chippings are superb. Loving the metals too, most proper.

Great job. I too love the idea of just sitting down at the table, getting a model plus paints and brushes out, and then finish the model in an evenings worth of painting. A really undervalued experience these days with competition painting usually taking both planning and painting for months. Very refreshing.
- And a damn nice red I might add. :)

Awesome wee fella! Lots of visual interest generated with the colouring and techniques, proper old-skool feel to him :) Anytime i sit to do a model in one night it gets to about 90% then something else grabs me, so well done on that, totally inspired now ^^

hey thanks! Me and my little goblin are very happy for all the praise! :) Really glad I could inspire some of you.

@SkelettetS: I can help you with the photography thing if you want!

@JRN: It really is. Can break a painters block as well.
