Howdy all

Just getting back into painting after about 25 years (!!). Just finished stripping a pile of old Ral Partha and Grenadier minis, getting some paints etc. Right now I don't have enough colors to complete a mini but hopefully UPS is kind this week :)

So for right now I'm painting, stripping and repainting some minis trying to get the hang of some new techniques. Got a mini going for every color and will post some pictures once I can get some decent pictures.

Looking forward to gaining enough confidence to tackle one of the new minis I've acquired!

welcome back to the hobby snomag.
I have always had a fond spot with the grenadier minis as they are the first ones I painted when I started into this hobby.
cant wait to see pics.

I've got a bunch of the skeletons, mostly cavalry/mounted and most of the first 2 runs of dragons.

As soon as I get the hang taking pictures of my minis with this camera I'll start posting pictures :)

And with the base coat.

I had tried this guy once already but was so unhappy with my brush work and shading I stripped him and tried again. Having much better lighting really helped this time. I have no idea what to do with the symbol hanging from his belt.

I've done the shadow layer and will post pics.

The gold does look good - thanks for the suggestion :)

Clearly much room for improvement but I'm having a lot of fun.

edit: And I did drill out the head of the Ankh - probably should've drilled all the way through.
