It was there. A decent show but quieter than last year. No stand out new companies though
I'm going to disagree Tim, I thought it was very busy, busier than last year, with a lot of people.
Forgeworld still had a huge queue which was still in evidence when Paul and I left at around 16:20(+/-).

Fantastic day, and yes very busy. Andy and I got to the finals, skele got a trophy and of course Sproket stormed through getting best in show :good:

Didn't buy much, missed the painting demonstrations I thought I might go to, saw about 1/8 of the stands with minis, missed the whole independent section... Somewhat blew the painting comp although I won a trophY so I guess I shouldn't complain too much about that part...

To everyone who don't know, my Sat nav has become a running joke over the last few years getting us lost at the Euro the last few times then sending us on a ferry on Saturday 
. So I'm getting international pressure from the Swedish embassy to purchase a new Sat nav. Strange thing is I'm starting to enjoy our adventures more than the shows soooooo the Sat nav stays!!!!

another highlight was the wonderful hotel/karaokebar that andy booked for me, guess thats another classic had a looong shower and washed all my clothes when i came home asap (seriously!)

I'll think I'll be doing that too next year. I keep hearing how good it is and have yet to even try it out.

Salute was great, meeting up with the Usual Suspects (Lee, Andy, Freakinacage, Skellets {aka the Swedish Germ Factory}), but I came prepared.
After last years chest infection I was taking no chances.
And after all the time at the painting competition this is the only picture that I've been able to salvage out of the cabinet shots.
A combination of Poor Lighting, Lens Flare and Camera Shake has left me with a bunch of Blurry Modern Art images.
Turner prize entry form needed!
Never mind, the wonderful surprize that Lee and Moetle had arranged from you all, really had me stunned and added to a really great day.
I can't thank you enough for that!
I did buy a lot, Hitting the British Independents for a good couple of Steampunk busts as well as dropping a serious (*) Wodge of Wonga into Werner Klocke's hand.
Do It! You won't regret it..........Your bank balance might!

I have got to plan a trip to the UK soon. It will definitely be coinciding with a Salute or GD or that other big one...I've kind of hit the Socialist jackpot recently, so this is a definite reality for me.
