yesterday I picked up the 40k daemon books, and i am wondering if any of you longbeards can help me.

I want a pure army, as in an army that all follows the same god. After looking at the minis and rules, i am torn between either Khorne or Slaaneshi daemons.

which army do you think has more convo opportunities/ freehand potential?

I dont mind about the rules, its only a club army, not a GT.

any suggestions?

cheers

rosac.

Slan definately has the most freehand opportunities, i\'ve seen some great daemonetter with tattoos on the arms.

The khorne models are also a pain to rank up and are all pretty samey.

Only advantage Khorne has in full god armies is the magic resistance.

hmmm, fair point, but im talking about 40k daemons.

sorry

p.s, i do like the daemonettes more than bloodletters, but the khorne elite units look so much better...

I agree that the Slaanesh stuff has more potential on the face of it, especially if you stick somewhere near the typical colour schemes. Slaanesh seems to be more purples and pinks these days but over the years they\'ve covered just about every colour, but usually in more pastel shades, as compared to the Tzeentch bolder colours.

uh huh, im starting to see the slaaneshi goodnes.

does anyone have a scale fig of a daemonette next to a marine?

it would help my choice.

I just flicked through the book again, and the khorne elite units still look very tempting...

I personally think, looking at the juggers, that they have awesome freehand potential...

should i still stick with slaanesh in this respect?

Why not buy one juggernaut and a box of daemonettes and try both. Its only £12 each, so not too much too lose.

If your choosing an army purely on freehand potential then any of them ???? sure juggers have freehand potential but look at the tatto work you could do on slaanexhi riders, The leering faces on any tzeentch model , the twisted and deformed forms of decay on nurgle...Freehand can be done on any you like ..

same with conversions it\'s just case of applying a little imagination..It\'s chaos you can convert anything you want.

There is more potential for conversion in a tzeentch force due to the twisted and ever shifting nature of tzeentch...but that doesn\'t mean there is any more than the others...

the new daemonettes are nice but the rest of the slaaneshy stuff sucks primate testicles..

overall niceness of the range Khorne edges it very closely followed by tzeentch (and it\'s funny they didn\'t bring anything new out for tzeentch)

Nurgle are great fun and fast to paint...

see again I have ended up mentioning all 4...just bite the bullet and collect em all.....

i do like nurgle, but i want to play games, and they suck as a pure force. I am torn between daemonettes and bloodletters cos they are 2 versions of my favourite style of play. Besides, adding nurgle and tzeench to the fray would only make my choice more difficult...

@ torn blue sky

that reminds me of the start of this vid

cheers guys

p.sam i trying something too complicated, should i go for a nice to paint but non competitive force, or a competitive force with models i dont like as much as others?

Just calm down!

If you\'re more interested on the painting side, go for what looks cooler, sod how good their stats look, when it comes down to it anything can happen in a game. Like you said it\'s only a club army. If you start losing too much just buy a juggernaut or something well \'ard. You don\'t have to stick to one thing.
You could finbd yourself doing all the gods but with some simble linking them. Just because other people have done some freehand on Slaaneshi models doesn\'t mean they\'re the only ones you can make look cooler.

Now. Where\'s my biscuit?!!
